  1. IKR!! When we travel, it's pitiful...even my kids say the food doesn't taste good:) ahhh well, it's all good. I'm near Baton Rouge.
  2. PAAAHAHHAHA!! Sounds like Mrs Butter knows you all too well ;-P
  3. 30 minutes of MMA! I absolutely LOVE doing this!
  4. Best of luck to you and a speedy recovery
  5. I am from Louiaiana. Not just from the south but from one of the most obese states in our country. You know there are "starving kids in China" so we don't throw food away, or at least that's what we were told growing up. Me too…and that is DEFINITELY a phrase I heard growing up! Doesn't help that our food tastes so good, which makes you want to eat it! Which part are you from?
  6. Misty, OMG you are an amazing, strong woman! May God Bless YOU! Thank you for sharing your story, makes some of the issues I deal with seem so trivial. I was never a fat kid - was actually called "Olive Oil" from Popeye…that is until my parents went through a divorce…My dad pretty much abandoned us and it was food that I turned to, since then, it's been a struggle but now I FINALLY feel like I have a handle/chance to correct my bad habits.
  7. I try not to compare, although at times, it's hard not too, but I would never make anyone feel worse about themselves. And LV, don't let anyone do that to you! You are amazing!
  8. How awesome!! You look so good!!! Congrats to you!
  9. I think it's in our genes!!! Seriously!
  10. You mean you don't do this already!?!?! ;-P
  11. I heat the water HOT and then mix in the cocoa - you do have to stir it well and I always "swish" my cup before taking a sip cuz like CGJ says, it does tend to settle but it doesn't get lumpy, just settles
  12. Way to GEAUX!!! You are rocking that sleeve!!
  13. I drink the Proti diet hot cocoa daily (except for now cuz I ran out!!! A new bucket is on it's way!!) I love it!! I also ordered some mint chocolate cocoa this time too...anxious to try it.
  14. I sure hope so:) as I've told you before - y'all are my lifeline
  15. I sure hope so:) as I've told you before - y'all are my lifeline
  16. Oh I wish you a speedy recovery!! Those are the WORST!! My brother swears by Gatorade to help dissolve them...he's had them enough to know...maybe you can try it.
  17. Goodness, I hope don't get to where I can have them!!! All I want now is salty/savory...rotel cheese dip with chips OMG - it's ambrosia these days!! I've only had it once since surgery and it was amazing!! Sooo that's will be my "devil food!"
  18. I loved to eat and cook and I would cook really unhealthy foods and had a sweet tooth that was insane!!! I would pass dinner/lunch/breakfast to eat sweets!!! I couldn't really eat a lot at one time, but I would basically graze all day long. So while I was never able to eat a whole cake, whole pizza, or a whole lot of anything all at once, I still managed to scarf it all in over time. I suppose one could argue that we can still do that post VSG, but it's not really what I want. Not to say at times I could graze, but it makes me feel sick (Thankfully!!) and as far as my sweet tooth - go figure - I cannot tolerate them too much...I get soooo nauseated if I try to eat candy/chocolate/ice cream!! It's good, but man, I wish I could eat them SOMETIMES!! ;-P
  19. Way to GEAUX!!! Looking great!
  20. Wellllll, there are those who love NOT to be sweet! hah! It's all good though…I can dish it out as well :-P
  21. Yes, PLEASE be sweet to me! hah! I don't know that I consider it "cheating", but I don't freak out over carbs…so some may say I cheat...
  22. Will do. Thanks ma'am:)
  23. Hahahah! I'm southern born and raised! I call EVERYONE ma'am or sir ;-P
