  1. Premier Protien has 160 cal and 30g protein in 11oz serving. The chocolate is not bad. I believe you can find them at Sams club and heard Walgreens carry them too.
  2. My athletic days do help. They remind me what success you can achieve with hard work. Life does find a way to get in the way. One day you're are 18 and ready to conquer the world then twenty years, marriage, kids, divorce, an extra 130lbs, and everything in between go by and you realize you are not living your life to its fullest. Thats the cliff note version of my life until I made this decision. Everyone has their own unique story. I know losing this weight will not solve my problems. However, its a huge decision I made to stop living half a life. Good luck and hope you and everyone else had a speedy recovery. Take advantage of this new chapter in your life. I know I am!
  3. 1 week post op. Finally got some decent exercise in. 2.7 miles walked! Feel great. As always getting my protein in right now via shake. Rule of thumb when y'all start walking or any exercise protein after!!! Helps recovery time! Anyhow....y'all will heal and get on your feet. Listen to your body and when ready Start Moving! We all didn't go through this for nothing. Remember it is just a tool! If you don't start changing the thoughts in your head to help change the patterns in your life. You will be right back where you started before making this decision sooner than later. I wasn't always overweight. Graduated high school a normal 130lbs. Bad decisions mentally physically and spiritually put me at my hw of 260. Don't get me wrong. I gotta kick my arse out the door at times to do it but it is so worth it! We can all do this!!! Hang in there!!!!
  4. Milk of Magnesium is what my nurse suggested to take. I took 2 teaspoons Thursday at night and was able to go in the morning. Lots of gurgling but no cramping. Every body reacts differently so suggest staying close to home. I took it again last night and was able to go this morning as well. However have not gone on my own yet....still need MOM lol! Was told that's pretty normal in the beginning. Good luck!
  5. Just a tip....if anyone is having trouble wearing jeans go to your local Goodwill. I got one pair of Maternity jeans that do the trick and don't affect my incision sites. Worth the 5 bucks!

    What is your theme song?

Not trying to pic...but Pour Some Sugar On Me is Def Lepord not Poison :-) great song though. I have a few. My Hallelujah by Julianne Hough...Roar is a good one listed earlier as well...there are so many good ones! 41 by DMB has always help me keep my strength! Keep singing out loud everyone!!! Makes you feel so much better!
  7. I got sleeved on the 9th. In all honesty I feel great. A bit tender at one of the incision sites (really stings when I sneeze! Damn allergies!) But do really feel like Ive been working out my abs alot. I'm.so . Ready to go back to work! I did finally "go" with the aid of M.O.M not bad at all for me. Im actually healing quite well. Thank you God . Im going to attempt a few miles walking today. I can typically do 5 but will shoot for 2 today just to be safe. Keep on praying and healing everyone! Oh yea...as for post op diet..not bad. I was able to get a serving of greek yogart bout 930 this morning. 10oz of premier protien shake bout 1230 & just had serving of applesauce. Have my water bottle ready to start sipping on in a bit. Takes me about 20 mins or more to do but feel really good especially in the day to run errands and all since im getting my protien started early! Good luck everyone.
  8. Home too! Surgery went great! Tender but that's about it. Taking my protein drink very slowly!!! Happy to be home. No need for pain meds yet...looking forward to all the exciting changes mentally and physically!
  9. My surgery is Monday! I can't believe it's here. Excited...scared as ever...would so love a glass of wine to relax but I can do without it!!! Lol!!! Mother nature showed up today as well...between the liquid diet...quit smoking...moving daughter to college Sunday..Im surprised I havent lost my mind yet! Good luck everyone!!!
  10. Sept 9th in Toledo OH! Nervous. Excited. So emotional. Doesn't help that I'm moving my oldest to college the day before surgery! Good things to come though. Day 3 of my liquid diet. Not bad. Few headaches here and there but doing ok!
