Did you get my email with the article on Laser THerapy for backs??? I have another web site for you to read too... check you eamil http://www.wasagabeachchiropractic.com/treatments/low-intensity-laser.html this is my web page on our clinic website.. Also, CLICK on the TESTIMONIALS from my patients that I've treated over the years... About Insurance: Here in Canada if people have Extended Health Insurance ie. Blue Cross, Greensheild, SUNLIFE, Manulife etc... about 1/2 of the agencies will cover Laser Therapy, but I dont' have any experience with the U.S. system so I don't know how it works there. I'd call the BIOFLEX clinics that I sent you a list of and ASK THEM about Insurance coverage they'll be better able to answer that for you... If you can't get Laser paid for by Insurance then ask about ACUPUNCTURE and TRACTION devices (one being a back brace, the other being a "teeter hang-up table" which I have used BOTH personnaly. The "teeter hang up table" can be googled and purchanses online and they'll ship it to you... It will separate all your discs cause you hang from your ankles.. I know this sounds barbaric but it works and is quite relaxing hanging upsidedown for 10-20 mins.. you start out with 5 mins and work it up... The benefit of having your own TEETER HANG UP is that you can treat yourself 4 - 5 times per day... and you won't need DRUGS...( or can get by with much less) Oh my gosh, I just remembered, when you and TRACY stayed in the twin beds in the basement the TEETER HANGUP TABLE was set up right in front of you , it was BLUE cloth on that A frame ... do you remember???

Oh my gosh! Its like reading a bible!!! I do not think you;ll be able to have it shipped for anywhere's near $100...so I have another idea. You have summers off right because you are a teacher? Why dont you drive here with your car/minivan and just pick it up? If its going to costs hundreds of dollars to ship, why not make a minivacation out of it... ??? Online Offers: Motels in Wasaga Beach Wasaga Beach Restaurants Ontario Auto Insurance Total Travel Estimate: 34 hours 46 minutes / 1971.92 miles Fuel Cost: $266.93 at 20 MPG edit so it would have to be a 10 day vacation minimum, bring a tent and camp along the way??? Oh this may be completely out of the questions but I thought I'd list it anyways. OR... failing that I may just donate it to my Quilt Store where I buy all my stuff, it'd look cute in their store..... but you have first dibs!!!

Oh GOSH Phyl!!! Bulging Disc's is no fun at all. Ask the Doctor about traction too as if you stretch out the spine it will put less pressure on the bulg. There are also exercises a physio therapist or chiropractor can give you THE MACKENZIE program exercises... GOOGLE it.. I bought a Teeter Traction table when I had my disc herniation at L5/S1... I still use it when I get a spasm in my back But alas, the drugs are always cool:drool::thumbup: take LOTS of fibre and chew on some prunes with your wine.!!!

WEll here's what I know about our TRIP details...we are leaving W.B. Monday 12th APRIL, we are gonna take our time driving across.. if Kari is back in MICHIGAN,might stop there; gonna stop in WIsconcin, and depending on Mel/Linda's schedules we may stay there and PLAY with them for a few days. Then camp, camp, camp gonna stop in BILLINGS to see Stephanie(need your address so I can mapquest it), and again stop to see KARLA ( also need address to Map Quest) in Mosuoula??? But there are YELLOWSTONE Park that I want to spend some time at.. camping and hiking stuff... Then there are the Dakota's to cross so we probably won't be in WASHINGTON StaTE until 23/24th APril... maybe a day earlier or a day later... but also Need Karri's address.... We are going to buy a laptop computer to take on the road with us..so I'll be able to email along the way and give better ETA's... How does that sound? We are in NO hurry, the whole trip we've allowed 5 weeks for... if I get really lucky I'd love to go down into CALI, but it just depends on how far we get and time... we're flexable.. Then we are heading up to Vancouver Island to Qualicum Bay where DH's long lost bro lives ( I havn't seen him in 36 yrs) then we drive home....

Hey Michelle; Many of us here have gone thru the "oh FLICK it and just eat what tastes good , & JUNK.... its time to get back on track and re-focus on WHY you wanted to lose weight with the BAND in the first place. I'm right there with you, I suffer from Non-motivation for periods of time too... we ALL do. As Janet always says "WE ARE food ADDICTS" we always will be, our stomachs were banded but NOT our Heads... So that being said, we've stumbled upon a really good book that deals with the BAD thinking that sabotages us... JUDITH BECK, the diet solution... it is not a diet per say, but COGNATIVE THINKING relearning to TALK to ourselves positively about the RIGHT THINGS TO SAY TO YOURSELF when you struggle... and to ignore the sabotaging language.. get it used on Amazon.com... or in any book store. You don;t have to wait until tomorrow to start eating healthier(& lighter) you can start with THIS moment, RIGHT NOW... this second... there is no going back, just forward... For myself, I am weighing in tomorrow a.m. and will be food journaling, that helps me a lot... plus of course doing the BECK BOOK.. Good luck chickie, you've come to the right place:thumbup:

Well home now, after a long day out and about. No Janet, the weather here today was gorgeous!!! 11 degrees Celcius or 46 degrees Farenheit~~~ almost BALMY LOL THe ice and snow that's left is melting fast today... another couple days like this and it will feel like spring. PIcked up my Sewing Machine this a.m. it was in for a cleaning and some TLC... now it'll purr like a kitten! Then I headed into the hospital to visit my Mom. SHe is going bonkers with boredom.. plus the old doll in the next bed is 'out of it' and keeps calling "nurse, nurse... are you there?????" I answer "no its just me the daughter, press your CALL button".... to which she replys "nurse!! nurse!!! Oh God HELP ME!".... My poor Mom has to listen to this all day. Oh my, now my Mom has moments when she's "not all there too" but it be degree... my Mom has a lot more with it moments than not... Oh you just gotta laugh!! I asked her Mom let me get you the TV, you could watch your GOLF or CURLING... nope, she dosn't want it. Dosn't want her PHONE hooked up either... too many well meaning relatives call and bug her... So the O/T lady came and :WE: practiced bed to chair changes, chair to bed changes, bed to toilet changes... downthe hall for a stroll... with the walker and O2. She's doing everything well by herself, so I dont' know why they are keeping her until WED... that'll mean 8 days in hospital for a broken WRIST... but the doctors are being thorough... Cat scans, blood tests, Xrays, urine tests(phew) I gave Mom a bedbath and changed her TENA... man those nurses will leave that for the families if they KNOW your comming... I swear! Anyways, I don't mind, just Paying it FORWARD so somebody will wipe my ass when I get old....!!!!! LOL Forgot to weigh myself this a.m. so TOMORROW's D=Day...

Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear about Debbie losing her job. That is aweful and hard to get another job in your 50's!! GIve her a big hug from me:redface: Congrats on your two-miler... good for you!!! It felt good didn't it. I have been reading about your EARL saga.. too funny... Yours give you grief when you are gone too long and mine says "oh go on holiday with your girlfriends"... we just have NO WAY of winning do we? :smile2: O. k. CUBA travelog: The resort was killer... a 4 1/2 star resort that didn't disapoint. Champaigne for breakfast everyday, I ate LOBSTER twice, had calamari 4x, Scampi 4 x... food was very good. ALthough, I got sick of omelets for breaky and tried to have cereal one day with milk.. YUK, the cereal is not crispy(humididy) and the milk is WHOLE milk, unpasturized.... tasted like pouring CREAM on my cereal... couldn't eat it like that, too many years of SKIM milk... ha,ha,ha... But the COFFEE con Leche was to die for. Cuba has better coffee than anyone, we brought home Kilo's of it... I wrenched my back lifting luggage the first day, so had a sore back for the week. Luckily I had extra strength Tyl in my stuff so took that several times per day. but I found this WONDERFUL muscle relaxant in CUBA.... its called R U M.... lol So Pina Colada's were my fav. RUM for my back and coconut milk for my _____ constipation (TMI sorry) Then had evenings of trying every liquour on the shelf.. they had all international brands of liquour so it was pretty fine! on a Sad note, the whole resort was full of Quebecer's.... all speaking Fronglesse!!!! Did finally run into 3 other English speaking Canadian couples so we hung around with them. We did have Satalite TV in our rooms, so we got CNN and CTV and all the Olympic games, and YES we watched the Canada / US HOCKEY GOLD GAME...whoop-whoop We watched it enmass in the BEER GARDEN tavern , 75 drunken Canucks crammed into this little bar watching the most important game of our decade on a 19" screen ..... ARGH :smile2: It was too crowded for the bartenders to serve drinks, so they just passed TRAYS of beer bottles back to the crowd, then Pina Colada's Tray, then this drink called a MIAMI VICE... oh it was good. There was one CDN guy Rooting for the U.S. team...he had the prime seat at the bar,a foot from the TV screen... so his penance for cheering for the 'other' side was to pass the TRAYS of drinks back to the rest of us... it was really fun and all in good spirits... I am sure you could hear us all screaming all the way back to MIAMI!~!!!! CONGRATS to the U.S.A. for taking the most medals!!! Your champions did an outstanding job. (I did think your figure skater got robbed though, she was awesome and deserved more...) BUt alas, the weather in Cuba was very dissappointing.. cold, cold and more cold... broken up by cloud cover!! I had my bathing suit on 1 day, and got in the water at the pool only once, to wade across to the pool swim up bar.. Just so that I could say "I got wet".... I read two novels cover to cover and got really relaxed. That part was nice and we had WILD SEX.... o.k. so it wasn't Wild, it was old lady, middle aged sex... but we got thru it without our pacemakers cracking up. Missed the doggies so terribly, and missed all you gals too... there was an internet cafe there but it was mucho pesos, so I didn't use it in protest. Brought home lots of Cuban Rum, and over 1/2 my spending$$ money cause there is nothing to shop for there... no stores.. You can buy RUM, CIGARS, and Coffee... Great flights both ways, hot meal and wine included in your flight. and on the way down they served Champagne to start our vacation off on the right foot... Glad to be home and sleeping in our own beds, ya I let the puppies sleep with us too! Went to visit my Mom yst. she's in the hospital with a broken wrist.. Poor dear Lots of reading to catch up on here!!! Love to you all Ladies:tongue:

Morning Ladies; Karla I don't know what to say today, except hang in there. Janet is the one who always puts the groups feelings into words that comfort. Read her post, read it over and over everytime you need a Lift... I too agree that where ever your Father is ( and I beleive its Heaven too) he was Welcomed, is pain free, and can feel your love ... Its why the SPIRIT always lives on, we only shed our mortal bodies...our Essence never ever dies.. We each feel our greif differently, so accept that your Mother will do it "her" way, and be KIND to yourself o.k.??? Love, & Hugs Candice

Oh my Gosh Phyl; 4 lbs? I am sure that it is all WATER weight, cause when you are 'eating out' there is a TON of sodium in stuff, probably you don't salt much at home. Same thing happened to me this week. My EATING is WAY good. No guilt eating, is very nice... but I had my favorite Sashimi (raw fish) at a rest. and although my calories were under for the day, my SODIUM was HUGE, as I dip my fish in soy sauce mixed with a bit of wasabi mustard... it was 3700 mg of SODIUM for the day... holy crap, I try to stay under 2000 mg of sodium a day.. Anyways, I'll weigh-in in the a.m. before we leave for CUBA at 1 p.m. we are flying out in a snow storm! Tonight we (& Buffalo) are getting slammed with 10 cm of SNOW, that's like 5 inches!!!! Where is Janet today???? she's been quiet:confused: I am glad you had a great time with Tracy....hope we get to see her in the Spring. Oh I forgot to discuss the Bellingham/Victoria day trip. That ferry crosses the straights Juan de Fuca (pronounce Fewka you dirty girls) , its the roughest water I've ever crossed..... When we lived there in 1975 I got so sea sick that I puked over the rails... ha,ha,ha. But I'll do whatever the others want to do.
