Hi Karla; My GF who had Gastric Bypass before I had my lap found the same thing with LEFTOVERS, couldn't tolerate them at all. It was the dryness. I got around that by making leftovers into casseroles or using the Packaged (low fat) gravy mixes to put over the meat. that helped me a LOT!!!

Morning! Had a late sleep in today... it was so great to see Phyl and Hurricane Earl yesterday... what a nice visit. Phyl and I both bought new tops, almost matching ... hers is black with blue and mine is black with white. good deal! Supper was awesome, so glad you suggested that restaurant... Prime Rib was fab. I ate 2 oz of its leftovers for breakfast today... YUM I think I`ll do all protien for a few days and get myself back on track. This summer food has been endless and I have thoroughly enjoyed everything... but now the parties over.. LOL Janet: I am sorry that Andrew has moved out... it will be better for your relationship in the long run. He needs to know how LUCKY he Had IT!!! And the crap at work, argh, it just never stops eh? That 62 yr old lady will have the partner whipped into shape in no time... Try GAVISCON chewable tablets - it worked AWESOME for me... also try an extra pillow to keep you nice and HIGH while you sleep. or put a brick(2) under the head of the bed to elevate... that might help... prior to takimng out fluid... it might help enough. Linda: Hang in there with school emails... YOu now have a :Get out of Jail: date set in your mind so cross off each day on a BIG calandar next to your desk at home office!!! Use a BIG red sharpie... it will feel so good to stroke them off. Denise: I know you lurk out there, what are you up to these days girl??? Meeting Phyl and Earl tomorrow in Niagra Falls, weather is not supposed to cooperate, but the warmth of the visit will surpass that! Got a job (casual, temporary) interview on Friday. Peter and I both were selected for interviews. We are having our municipal elections this fall and they need polling officers... some extra cash to put into my TRAVEL fund LOL.... Karla; what I am reading betweeen the lines here is YOU are greiving the loss of your teacher cohort. His premature dying has thrown you for a loop. Making you feel like you need to reexam everything. Its o.k. to be sad and just miss him... What about the sacrifice your family makes so that you can follow your dream of teaching, only to die 2 1/2 months after you retire and never get to do all the things you and your family planned. This is one of life`s curve balls. It is way not fair to loose someone so vital and young. It is a good reminder though to us all to MAKE EACH DAY special and meaningful... be it by giving to your students, or working on that fav. quilt you`ve been putting off..... or just weeding in your garden that you love so much... or going for an evening walk and catching a sunset... You have some VERY valid points Steph. Thanks for bringin them up... It is true that the REWARD for giving is the GOOD feeling you get inside because you did something nice for someone else. (real love) I have always beleived that no matter how your life may suck(at a part. point in time) there is ALWAYS someone who is worse off, and we must live life in a state of GRATITUDE other wise - what is the FLICKING point to it all??? Its like when you are married, and you get up in the morning and think to yourself. ... ``what can I do today to make my Spouses day go easier?`... and then you do that thing.... its not for YOU that you do it... its a GIFT to the other person. If we all treated one another in this world like that... how cool would life be??? I cannot do anything HUGE in this world to make a humungous difference but I can do ONE small thing....:biggrin:

"B.J.'s" portable rentals uh, so just let your minds sift down to the gutter and you'll know how hard we were all laughing... I said to Peter, """for your Birthday gift.... remember that BJ you;ve always wanted????? uh, well its in the DRIVEWAY... help yourself!!!"" I know, heck this is an adult thread right? Sat am last preps for the party, my DD and SIL arrive, my SIster, my BFF from London... all early!~!!! but that was o.k. I put them all to work. Setting up the BAR... see pictures here and on FACEBOOK. Peter was SO happy, couldn't get the smile off his face... He was really touched that 55 people came for his day. With a special surprise guest!!! Then we had the ROCK and ROLL band guys come, 2 drummers, a harp players... etc... way cool. BUT some darn neighbor phoned the COPS on us... so they came by with a warning about the noise... if it didn't cease by 8 oclock they were coming back with a FINE... So then we switched to playing softer JAZZ music and that was o.k. into the night... really great party.. There was only one hickup... my GF in Toronto's boyfriend got ticked when he asked where the Bathroom was, and my BFF said its right there the PORTA POTTY!!! As we are on SEPTIC tank I rented the toilet so people wouldn't be traipsing in and out of my house.... he states "I have never used a porta potty in my LIFE!!!!" (all indignant) so my friend HELEN (who is also my cleaning lady) says to him" Well sweetie, there';s afirst time for everything!".... I didnt' hear about any of this THAT night, just the day after comments etc... But it was SUPER , and my HUBBY is SO happy:thumbup:

Whoa, Michael dosn't do his own laundry!?!?! That stops NOW!!! You tell him that his Aunt Candice said that :cursing: He;ll break down when he runs out of clean clothes... BE STRONG! He's at the age where he wants to start driving right? well there's his pay off. Chores/responsibility = driving priveledges(or whatever is deemed age approp.) find his currancy$$$ I had Megs doing her own laundry at 1 or 12 yrs old... cause I didn't wash it fast enough for the Princess!!! HA... No seriously, he needs responsibilities and can do chores around the house just like everybody else... Little ones can have age appropriate chores to do to... 1) making their beds, clearing the table, loading the dish washer with their cups and plates... Yup, some things will get broken, but that's how they learn. and GIRL you need some HELP.. you just can't run the whole household of 5 people alone. Its not right, its not fair... Have a FAMILY meeting to discuss duties, and if you need to bribe them to get started so be it... OMGOSH, I just realized I spewed advise and wasn't asked.... sorry!!!

Girlfriend, all I can say is WOW, those gym clothes are HOT HOT HOT.... I'd be wearing that FLICKING outfit to the OFFICE.....:cursing: and Kudos on the Marketing people contacting you... how exciting is that!!!

Oh Karri; I am so sorry to hear of your news... I just now got back on LBT and am reading as fast as I can to catch up.. I know that whatever happens IT WAS THE RIGHT DECISION for YOU! Karla darling, I don`t n( think), I KNOW that Yoga class WILL positively (not possibly) reduce your stress. You WILL love it I promise. Pay whatever it costs hun, cause you are worth it!!! How much does mental health cost anyways huh? You can`t be beating up children (although I am sure some of them deserve it ) If you go to the gym 6 times per month, then you;ve paid for all of the visits and the 7 -20 times is FREE... my YMCA charges ?50 per month or $ 9 per day.... Gotta run CBL:crying:

Ya Peter`s birthday party is going to be fun.... as long as I don`t let my SISTER stress me out... she called yest. to tell me she was Bringing her own drinks... Ò`Dooles near Beer... oh good I said, I hadn`t thought to buy any of that... GOod for you pacing yourself between REAL beers... she says``« òh, so you think I have a drinking problem?``` ah, I was not the one who suggested you bring fake beer!!! Those pictures of the KAREN`s is great!!! They look like such nice ladies!!! What a great trip. Sorry EARL was cranky, that`s to be expected on such a long trip. When Peter and I did it, surprising ly we only had ONE really grumpy day, and I just YELLED back at him.... then - it was over... It will be so cool to get to Buffalo!! YES the weather long range looks good for this weekend... now how about getting together AFTER the wedding? Say next week sometime... would that work for you guys?? We could meet you in Toronto for LUNCH/Dinner.... what do you think? Gotta work this morning with the KIDDIES cooking class... then my cleaning lady comes today. I havn`t had her in 6 mos.... and she REALLY cleans thoroughly so I can`t wait!!! Tomorrow is Zumba, Wed is total body core, singing rehersal, Thurs is last minute party plans, then FRIDAY the people start arriving... Gonna be real crazy for sure!!!
