Yeah, Laurend, I have had a few people do that already too! I don't like it much and have told them that I am following my doctor's orders. It seems to refocus them! I don't know why people always think you need their two cents! We didn't ask for it!!! I know most people mean well, but I don't tell them what to eat or how to eat it! I am a big girl and I really think I can handle it on my own. Besides, when someone tells me what to do, I tend to the exact opposite!!!! I do have a stubborn streak!

Thanks, Lynette, I am a little biased!!!! My brother and his wife are so open to people being around and all and you just feel like he is your own! He is a special little guy!!!! He looks much bigger on that picture than he really is! He is a little thing!!! Nice size for a baby, 6 pounds 13 ounces, and 18 3/4 inches long, but nonetheless, little for me!!!!!

Chim, Thanks, he is something! Just sooo sweet!!!! I have 10 nephews and 1 niece. So not really my first, but there hasn't been a baby in our family for 5 years, so this is just soooo cool!!!! Plus, this brother lives close by, so I get to see his kids more than the other ones.

Tinkerbell, I didn't move my bowels for 5 days post-op and even at that I was taking a Stool Softener/Laxative from Wal-Mart, Equate brand. You won't have much for awhile, because you aren't eating much! Now, though not having any problems in that department! So it doesn't last long!

Doc says I can go to the Chiropractor whenever I want!!!! Could've went yesterday if I wanted!!!! So, I plan to do that as soon as possible!

I'm going to visit him in a little bit again today! Don't overdo it today!!!! ... quit beating yourself up over yesterday too! We will all do it! Do you have any signs of your troubles yesterday? Sore or uncomfortable at all? I haven't had any of that happen to me yet, but like my husband said when I told him about everyone having things going on ~ he says my day is coming! Which I have no doubt that is true! It is only a matter of time, til you see exactly how much power the band has! Nonetheless, not really looking forward to it! Sounds awful!!!

See, now that is the first I heard of the Isolate, as opposed to concentrate. I will have to investigate that one. Is it on the label? My doc was at Walter Reid Hospital prior to coming here and did these there for years. It is new in our area! I am patient number 40, since last January (07)!

I am on the mushy/soft stage now and was told not to have any less than 50 g. of protein/day. Also, told I can go back and forth from the pureed, mushy, and soft stages, as I feel able. I go back in two weeks, and by then should be able to eat just about anything. Then another 2 weeks and an adjustment!!!! I know I have no restriction right now, just what I have within myself, but so far, so good!

Yeah, I think you are right! It will be used a lot in the next phase! Now, my doc doesn't want us to use much in the protein drinks once we go on a "regular diet", he wants us to get the protein from what we eat, so I would think that would be when you would want to use the unflavored stuff.

Tinkerbell, Well done! You will pass a lot of fluids for awhile, but as far as the gas and the rest, give it a few days and it will get better!!!!

Chimboree, Good for you!!! I wouldn't want to deal with those GNC people either, but unfortunately most of what we need is from there or somewhere similar!!!! I did find another alternative ... Vitamin World. I love the vanilla protein drink from there, didn't care for strawberry and didn't try the chocolate ... was buy one, get one too! Whey Protein Powder, 2 lb. container, 1 scoop is 18 g. protein.

Chimboree, yes, a jerk!!! He had no clue what the heck he was talking about!!!! I hate when people let on they know all about everything, but you know darn well they hardly even know their own name!!!!! You don't have much longer Girl!!!!
