Yep, I see you you were banded on Monday. I wouldn't be too concerned yet. Were you prescribed pain meds? If not, liquid Tylenol does wonders! I would try taking something at bedtime!

bostonic, Yes, I think for awhile. A few nights weren't very comfortable and would definitely wake me up. I didn't notice your banding date, are you newly banded?

Phyllser, I was told the coughing is good to release all that anesthesia. I was told to do that, especially after taking deep breaths and they gave me a deep breath device that after using, I had to make myself cough. So should be okay!!! Hope you are feeling well today!

Kathy, See, everything is falling right in place!! Sounds like the kids are taken care of and you and your Honey have the trip all planned out! Now, all you gotta do is get there, close your eyes, tell them to be quick about it (I did, lol) and on with the show!!! You can do this! Won't be so bad and will be over before you know it! Kathy, It won't be a burden! You will be sooooo glad you did this!!! I am telling you, no one panics more than me and man, did I have the heebie jeebie when I got to the hospital!!! I wanted to bolt!!!! But in the back of my mind, I knew they couldn't MAKE me do it, but rather I NEEDED to do it! Then for the first few hours in the hospital, I was thinking again, my goodness, what have I done to myself????? But now, no way I would have done it any different! Looking back, there was no reason for me to feel so much fear and uncertainty, I was well taken care of and I knew what was happening, but nonetheless, it was there!!!

How is your little girl's tongue???? Is it healing nicely??? I have meant to ask the past few times, but I get preoccuped with everything and then submit and then ... remember!!!! YIKES, tooooooo old!!!!

Kathy, I am a stress eater too! Hey, I didn't follow my pre-op exactly! I don't think any of us have!!! But I guarantee, you ate less than you would have prior to this!!! Don't worry about it!! I wasn't a model student and my doc said my surgery was textbook and that I was a perfect candidate/patient!!! So, hey, you will do just as well!!!! Besides we all love you and you will be fine!!!! Can't wait to get my sis, Kathy back online!!! Will you be home tomorrow night?????:car:

Kathy, Try not to worry! I know it is hard, but I can tell you I was scared to death!!!!! IF anyone would have said do you want to have this done, I would have said no, jumped up and ran out ... but honestly, I have no regrets now!!! I am soooo glad to have had this done! I feel better than I have in years!!!! No kidding, I feel happier and healthier already! I am already off of 5 medications, 4 of which were my sugar meds. It is wonderful! It is single handedly the best thing you will ever do for YOURSELF!!! I doubt from your personality that you have ever done much of anything for yourself! Truly, this will be just that!!!!
