And Bea, I always use the lowest # I see for the week. If I can see it, I can claim it. Lol!

Bea's having a GOOD DAY today! For the first time in 28 years my BMI says I'm "overweight" instead of "obese"! I hit 200.0 today and could not be MORE THRILLED!
I showed increases or the same weight every single day all the way up to the beginning of month 7. Now my weight fluctuates in both directions, although with a steady, but slow, decline every week. So although I know tomorrow may but slightly up again, after another week or so I can fully expect to NEVER see numbers starting with "2" again. There is something so very exciting in that!
I may log today's weight as my weekly weight, not because I am interested in "cheating" (it will all come out right in the end anyway) but simply because I've hit a point that is game-changing in my life and want to log it, share it, hold on to it.
Sorry for going on and on about this, but if anyone could understand what I'm feeling, it's all of you. So, I just had to share here.

I just had my 6 month doctor visit and according to him, all is going well. My blood work came back great and I have lost 46" and 86.5 pounds. I was told to expect up to 4-5# loss each month in the future, at best. I have gone from a size 24 (I think) in pants to a size 16 or 18 and 2x/3x to a l/xl in shirts. I am still unable to "see" how much I have lost, however my daughter showed me a picture from this summer where I was standing in the background and even I am shocked!
I signed up to do a 5K at the end of April and would like to be at a 100 pound loss by then and in the onederland by the end of summer. Some days, I get very frustrated...I have been in the 230's for two months now and CAN'T WAIT to get that over with!!! I have been able to keep working hard towards my goal. I have to say, this has been a great journey. Although the weight loss is slowing down, I have still had an average loss of almost .5 pounds a day...AMAZING!
Keep up the great work, August Sleevers!

It does. When you go to the nutrition tab it shows the pie graph of %, but there is also a spot that has like a set of long lines followed by a dash ___- (right under the arrow pointing to the right) this will give you the grams break down.

I can reach down and touch my toes with absolutely no issue. Strain or soreness. This from a girl who 15 months ago could not even see her knees let alone her feet.....Exercising is already seeing results!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Now that's a NSV.....Yes me!!!!!!!!!

I'm still losing, it's just slowing down now at 6 months out...so, on to the next goal...a not quite as ambitious one.

    Hi and welcome!
I had a try a few shakes before I found one that I liked. Some were just plain horrible and I couldn't finish. Others I thought I could tolerate, then decided after a couple more times that it wasn't going to work.
There are things you can do to change the texture and flavor - you can add some fruit (I whiz in some low glycemic berries or peaches) and you can add some sugar free syrups (I use Torani). You can try different temperatures - I will mix chocolate with some 1% milk and heat it up in the microwave (careful to not exceed the recommended temp on the label) for hot chocolate and I might even add some sugar free peppermint Syrup. Or you can whiz in some ice cubes for a thicker, colder shake.
One thing I would caution you on - when you do find a shake mix or drink that you like, don't over purchase. Once you have surgery, your tastes may change and that shake you loved pre-surgery makes you gag post-surgery.
    Best of luck to you!

Madam, EXCELLENT comment. I love the way you nuked little-miss-inappropriate ;) but of course it went wayyyy over her MD head (she did said she's a doctor, didn't she?) CLEARLY, BANDits get a lapband around their stomach, not their BRAIN.... Much less their hearts. It's obvious someone SELF MEDICATES.

Or how about when children grow up to be adults who appear to have little social awareness and are uneccesarily harsh in the delivery of their opinion?
If deploying playground level psycho-babble is the order of the day here, then maybe - and this is just a thought - that those with little social awareness and an apparent inability to tailor their communications to their audience, may, themselves, have required a 'softer, more understanding hand' when they were growing up?
Who knows? It might have cultivated a more measured, inclusive and empathetic attitude?
With a few more hugs and words of gentle encouragement, it could then have prevented the somewhat disproportionately aggressive high-handed judgement and advice intoned on others - no matter how well intentioned - and allow for the fostering of effective and warm relations with all participants? Not, as it appears, for it to have been delivered out of frustrated aggression which has ultimately undermined the core tenets and value of what has been said and affected the social marginalisation of the message bearer?
    Now there's a thought...
Right. Time for my smoking jacket, warm fire, Freud compendium and slippers, methinks....

The sleeve has allowed me to KNOW the weight doesn't ever have to come back, that what I am doing WILL be successful. To keep the Weightloss going I am doing yoga, biking and swimming...training for a mini triathlon in Aug. and trying to adjust my intake based on this...starting to have hunger sucks.
I have dropped from a really snug 20W jean to a 5/6 curvy girl jean, from a men's XXL top to a ladies M.
I've lost 80lbs since pre-op and am 20-27 lbs from ultimate goal that would put me at "normal" mid range for BMI and Body fat %.

My pants are too long. Lose weight and legs get shorter? Having to pull my pant legs up so I don't walk on them. Lol!
I know it's because there's not as much of ME to fill the pants in, but it's funny none the less!
