- October Sleevers - Who else
Here I go Lew! Preop Day 2 postop with my doc Almost 4 weeks postop (will be 4 weeks Monday) Not a major difference. We'll see after the Thanksgiving challenge {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Any October sleevers?
- this may start a riot.
I'm sorry I feel that way too because I truly didn't expect to. That's ok- I get back to reality aka work this week. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC
No! No tap water. They give you bottled water in your room daily and you get an additional couple of bottles daily from room service at your request. I didn't drink it all and took a few bottles home. I went to Walmart the night before surgery for Gatorade. Does Gatorade make powder to mix in water? That's an idea to bring with you if they do (I think they do?). I took some of my Unjury chicken soup flavored protein powder with me. As far as foodstuff, i don't think there's anything you can bring that you would need that wouldn't be perishable. You can have FF drinkable yogurt I believe day 4 but that's about it. I had clears until I made it home. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- this may start a riot.
Had to chime in again. Some of the newer people on this site choose not to post because the vets are a bit abrasive under the veil of being or trying to be sarcastically funny with one another. They really crack themselves up don't they? I've attributed it to the hormone shift once you get closer to your goal weight. We will be there one day as well. What I will do if I'm still posting on this site in one to two years is be mindful of where I was at that point in time and if I can't control myself and feel the need to be pushy with people on a support site is find something else productive to do with my time and log off. Or maybe start a private group somewhere else where I dont have to try to resist being overly aggressive with nervous preop/freshly postop fat people. There's a difference between tough love and being snide, but just like in our real lives when we have to deal with dumb a@ comments- some people just don't know any better. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- constipation
MOM is nice. It hasn't caused me any abdominal cramping like some laxatives do. Doesn't taste great, but the result is. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Let's SEE pics!
You are making such good progress. All of your pictures you can see a difference. Congrats! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- 4 weeks post op and did not loose thus week
I know its hard to not see the scale move daily, but geez- some of us really need to give ourselves a break. You're not going to lose weight daily or even weekly sometimes. I don't like the whole "stall" term either for people who have recently had surgery. People please don't forget YOU JUST HAD SURGERY! Your body has to adjust and the weight loss will come. Do what your doctor says and be a bit more patient. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- what are chances of gallbladder problems after sleeve

- Do you look older since you lost weight?
- I've never been this excited to poop!
Milk of Magnesia is my BFF. I had to call on Jesus, Mary, and Joseph for relief the 1st time and it was about a 3 hour endeavor after 2 MOM doses over 24 hours time. I cried a little {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Unjury unflavored powder
Totally detectable and I can ALWAYS smell it. I mix it in sour cream if I put it on top of something, my Malto meal or broths, and I add it to my Drinkable yogurt (Yakult light and lime FF Greek yogurt in my blender bottle). Most of what I've used it in has been cream based. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- What's the story behind your profile name?
And the name back2barb I need to get back to what I used to be- a heathy, fit, easy on the eyes, nice hips and thighs kinda woman (like Barbie) I had lost over 100lbs on my own prior to nursing school and in my Quest to be valedictorian (which I did by the way), stopped exercising and became a major fat a$@, gaining it all back plus much more through my career the past 4 years. Added the year of my birth in case someone else is trying to get back2barb after letting themselves go too. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- What's the story behind your profile name?

The vitamin never upset my stomach at all and never felt sick with the shakes. The only real nausea I had was postop at the OCC and EVERYTHING was making me nauseous a few days prior to purées but that was scent just as much if not more than taste. What vitamin do you take? Iron may be the culprit. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC
