    Discouraged :(

Take a deep breath and remember that this is a life long journey. Slow losers are even better because it gives your body the opportunity to adjust! I too am a slow loser and it was hard for me not to be obsessed with "losing weight". As long as you are sticking to a good diet plan the weight will come off! And you will be HEALTHY. So put the scale away and enjoy your life...and dont compare yourself to everyone else, i only lost 20lbs post op! And stalled but eventually started losing again! With the new healthy way we are eating...the fat has no choice but to melt off! good luck and congrats on all your accomplishments!
  2. Ok.... Sweetie, you need to stop and look at how far you have come. Take a deep breath and remember that this is a life long journey. Not eating enough

Im so sick of shakes, i dieted for 5months prior to surgery and the shakes now gross me out, even with variety of flavors! My dr told me about protein shots so those help. My dr also sd his concern was more about the protein than calories, so as long as im getting my protein he sd the calories wld come later!
  4. Im 3wks post op. i lost 8 pounds the first 2 week and now i havent moved for over a week!, but i figure that my body is in shock and im sure eventually ill start losing again! I take it one day at a time! So no worries we will get there!
  5. Well you can try drinking lemon water, the acidity can help break it down, but dont know how well it will sit in your stomach! Its common because the GB contracts when we eat greasy and fatty foods. Since we are mainly on liquids/"healthy" foods the bile remains in the GB and all the little bile crystals begin to clump... Making stones! Good luck!
  6. I use the bariatric advantage, i crush them up and mix it with 1/4c of Greek yogurt, this way my yogurt taste tropical, i get protein and i can manage them better! Becuz they are DISGUSTING! It takes me 30 min to eat it but it works!

Scared of every hiccup (and burp)

So i am now officially 2 weeks post surgery and i had my first official issue! My dr said i could move to soft food, i guess i ate too fast, i had chicken with extra broth 1/4 c and 3mushy baby carrots! I got so sick i was spitting up mucus. I wanted to cry i felt so horrible! It took me 30 min to eat and i really didnt feel full or have chest pains, but my stomach had other ideas! I was hoping i cld wake up pre op! But i went back to purée and i will attempt maybe an 1/8c of chicken and go from there! I will overcome this because i am strong. Thank you all for being supportive!

Scared of every hiccup (and burp)

Don't worry, I've had the same issues. I had surgery x 12days and I am praying nothing goes wrong because I will never live it down by my sister who has jealousy issues! My Dr. Has been super awesome and said that if i continue to do this well I shouldn't expect any problems! So good luck! And remember you are not alone!
