  1. Well, I'm a Leo and a bully and can make decisions (I'm not sure if that's what all Leos are like!) So One For the Money it is. Thanks Alison!!
  2. Sades - Don't you dare move to a July group - you're a Nov Nymph! Hollyberries - I love your cheerleader pic!
  3. TX - there's a doc here who would take me on as a new patient, but his fills are $700 and I'm not covered! It's ridiculous how much some docs are charging. It's like they know you're in a desperate situation so they'll take you for all you're worth. The rosy side of the picture is YOU'VE LOST OVER 100 POUNDS!!!! You're way ahead of the game, you're doing great. Your next fill will be here before you know it. Take this time to find something fun to do, like find a new hiking trail or join a biking group. Get active and get out there. You're a November Nymphs hero, don't ya know it?
  4. Sounds good! Now, what's the title of the one we're doing? :cool2: What was Water for Elephants like? If you like vampire books have you read the ones by Stephenie Meier (sp?). It's a series, the fourth one I think is ready in the stores (but I'm too cheap, I wait until I get it at the library). I've read the first three and they're really good. There's werewolves AND vampires, all set in today's world, and believe it or not very realistic, like as if you could jump right into their world. Where I live we just had a book club on her and everyone loved her books. The Doctor's Wife sounds familiar, like I've read it before. What's that about again? I've just read The Warrior Heir which was really good. It's the start of a series. It's about a boy who was supposed to be born a wizard but actually turned into a warrior/wizard combo, again set in today's world. I checked the next books out at the library already. Can't wait to see what happens next!
  5. I agree with the above, you'll have lots of time to unfill if you're too tight before you go .... although if you want to indulge a bit on your cruise I wouldn't. I know, I know, we're here for weightloss, but sometimes it's nice not to worry about only eating a tablespoon for supper on vacation! So to indulge or not to indulge - that is the question.
  6. Anyone else want to vote or shall we go with Evanovich?
  7. I am sooooo going to hold you to that - and you'll have to post a pic when you do too! Sades - you said you're worried about that first 4-6 weeks. But I think you'll do great because now you'll know what's going to happen, instead of the fear of the unknown (what was that pain in my left shoulder? - remember that?) Good luck on your surgery!!!
  8. YEAH!!! Onederland is such a milestone!!!
  9. Oh, but I didn't mean that all the hares on here will finish last! Yeah Hares!! Hmm, I'm tired and I'm sticking my foot in where it's not meant to be stuck. Y'all know what I mean, right?
  10. Foofy, do I have to tell you the story about the turtle and the hare? Your day will come, my girl, don't worry!
  11. I've been having pain too. It's weird because my last fill was quite a while ago (a few months). Then about a month into the fill I suddenly got very tight and really had to watch what I ate. I wonder if it's a case of the band finally catching up with us like what I've heard on other postings. I ate shrimp but it was battered . For me if it's covered in sauce (I'm like you Cindy!) or if it's battered, things go down good (I guess they would, hey?) But that's not going to help you with low cal! That's me too - soft, moist food goes down, and I also don't eat enough of it for calories to really be an issue.
  12. I wonder if they're related. Mine is Mark Gibbs.
  13. Does anyone else feel like they get inflamed due to spicy food, and then as a consequence can only have liquids after? This has happened twice to me after eating spicy foods and I'm wondering if there's a connection or just coincidence.
  14. Well, at least this time around you'll know what it will feel like post-surgery. I'm so sorry this has happened! And you've had awesome weightloss to date! This really sucks - two November nymphs having complications.
  15. TIME TO VOTE!! My vote goes to Stephaine Plum (sp?) the funny ones anyway
  16. Oh my GAWD Sadies, I can't believe that! Good luck on your surgery. Once you have it on the right way you'll be up and away. Hollyberries - you were sooo a cheerleader in your past life, weren't you?
  17. Hi Grammie. Where are you from in Arkansas? I'm from the Little Rock area and used Dr. Gibbs.
  18. Kendra, I'm so glad to have heard from you. It's been so long! Girl, you got to get some sassy wigs. Have you seen Desperate Housewives where (can't remember her name) lost her hair, got some wigs, and her husband was majorly turned on by the red one? I don't know how to say this via the web since the web does not give emotion very well but I'm very sorry for what you're going through and I think about you often, my good vibes are going your way. Every time I'm on here I'm looking for a post from you, so you ARE in my thoughts. You've got a great attitude and that will get you far! Keep posting and let us know what's going on in your life.
  19. Okay everyone, let's throw some book titles out there and how about in a week we'll all vote on it, read it, and talk about it a month from now. Sound like a plan? Let's also post books we're reading right now - the good, the bad, the ugly - the good, so I can read them, and the bad and ugly so I won't read them. I'm reading a really good one right now - another young adult - called The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I guess that could be my month's vote. It's about a boy in this current age, and all about Greek Gods who have never actually gone away but are living with us right now. It's pretty cool. It's actually teaching me a bit about Greek mythology. I love books that will teach you a bit while you're reading them - that's why I LOVE LOVE LOVE historical fiction so much. You get history the easy way.
  20. I've gotten into young adult fiction lately. It's surprisingly good - just as good as adult stuff. So I read all the Spiderwick Chronicles which were really good, now I can't wait to see the movie. If you get them though, get all of them since every book only takes about an hour to read. The one I'm reading right now is Interred with Their Bones by Jenniffer Carrell. It's kind of like the Da Vinci Code (which I LOVED!) except instead of art, it's based on Shakespeare.
  21. Hollyberries - don't forget me from Canada! (although I live in the States now) Huskerette - I read on another post you're full-time student and worker so don't you even try to read all the posts here with all the work you're doing! You take care of yourself and just join right in. I totally agree this is the "best friggin support group in the world!!" (In case you haven't noticed Hollyberries is everyone's all-round cheerleader and supporter!)
  22. Hmmm, I guess I'm not supposed to snack! I tend to graze all day long - very small amounts which probably add up to what I'm supposed to eat in a day (if not more!) You know, I keep forgetting to look at my list of food rules and whenever I stop losing I'm always very perplexed. Then I look at my rules and realize oh, yeah, no snacking - oh, yeah, protein first, small amounts, yada yada. I guess the rules really do work, eh?
  23. Hey Huskerette! If it makes you feel better I was a size 16 at 185 pounds too! You're the second person I know who got broken up with on Valentine's Day. My husband's brother did that to his WIFE if you can believe it! He's a much nicer person now though. It sounds like you've got a great attitude and a lot of new things happening along with your new skinny bod! Good for you for going to school and working full-time. I know how tough that is. Linda
  24. Oh, I'm glad to hear a few of you are interested! Well, how should we start?
  25. I'm so sorry that happened Sades. You'd think the doctor would have figured this out earlier since you have so much fill and nothing has been happening!! I've heard other people go on liquids for a few weeks and that has fixed a slip if you want to start doing that. Has your doctor given you any directions?
