Covatila, I was never able to meet my Water or Protein goals in the beginning, mainly due to vomiting and intolerance issues. Over Christmas, I was hospitalized for dehydration. At that time, tests were performed to ensure I had no stricture or scar tissue that may be causing problems. The doc who viewed my X-rays told me that it appeared more like I had gotten a total gastric bypass rather than a sleeve my tummy was so small, he also said it was some of the best work he'd ever seen. So yes, your sleeve is as tight as a drum! Don't beat yourself up over not being able to get your water and protein in. I never was able to and I still don't! You're still going to lose, and you're going to do well. Just do the best you can. There's a process, and we are all different.

When mine started itching, I pulled them off. Washed the area really well with soap and Water and covered the area with a LOOSE bandaid. Instant relief! It may help you heal better to get a little air in there. Hope this helps!

I was sleeved on 11/29/13 and I was driving the next day. Everyone recovers at their own pace. You know what's best for you. I'm only taking 2 weeks off work.

I let everyone know I had surgery. I shout it out load because I am so happy. It has changed my life in so many ways. I have lost over 80 pounds and I feel that people are going to know anyway. I have lost that in 5 months. They will see you eat small food and miss the office party birthday cakes etc. So I believe they will figure it out anyway. Most of my co workers are so helpful and interested. They actual love to talk to me about it all the time.
I went to the bank yesterday and the teller who knows me did not know it was me. We laughed and and I even told her. I guess that is just who I am. I love to tell people. I know weird. There is many people that don't want anyone to know. I just feel like screaming it from a mountain top because I am so happy.

Hi! I am new to this site. My surgery is on Nov 11th in Oxford MS. I started my clear liquid diet today! Any ideas or advice!?!?
