  1. I came on here to post the same question!!! I am 4 months post-op and have been stalled for over 2 weeks. At the very same time I started work again on my PhD classes - first time back after taking a semester off for surgery. That coupled with my career, 4 kids/hubby, home, life, etc. has been pretty stressful. I'm wondering if the stall and the stress are related. And with that, what do we do? I mean, I'm not willing to stop pursuing my PhD, and I obviously can't eliminate my career or family, so how do we find a way to manage it all in a healthy way. I mean, my eating is good. I have not been stress eating. I've never really been one for yoga or meditation or anything, but I'm thinking maybe that might help?
  2. I'm a little late checking in bc I was out of town. Bad week! Coming out of a bit of a stall. Beginning challenge 205 Week 1 203 Goal 190
  3. Starting challenge weight: 205.4 Goal weight: 190 This will put me well under 200 & will move my bmi to "overweight" instead of obese class 1. SUPER excited to meet both of those milestones :-)
  4. Are we doing our first stats yet? Or not until Friday?
  5. Last weigh in on this challenge. Starting weight: 224 Goal weight: 210 Current weight: 205 Beat goal by 5 pounds!
  6. I know it's not weigh in day, but I passed my goal today!! Starting challenge weight: 224 Goal Weight: 210 Current Weight: 209
  7. Beginning challenge: 224 Today's weight: 210.6 Just the tiniest loss from last week. Super frustrated :-( Especially when I flew through the first 13 pounds of the challenge
  8. I'm in too! These keep me motivated!
  9. I also do some "pre-cooking" on the weekend so that I have lunches to take during the week because I also don't like spending for lunch out when I'm only eating a few bites of it. I've done the chicken breasts divided individually wrapped like someone else said. Chicken salad, egg salad, hard boiled eggs (pickled or not), frozen meatballs individually cooked, chili, etc.
  10. Funny...I just called my surgeon about this. He said for the long term to do benefiber every day, but to get things moving to use a stool softener. I had been using miralax and colace together before calling him and he said he would prefer me not to use the miralax. Weird because I thought that was pretty safe. He said it was ok to continue the colace and add benefiber. I wish these doctors could all get together and make their minds up on a single recommendation! LOL
  11. I guess everyone is different. I never once had any gas pain. The pain from my surgery was very minimal. The biggest thing for me was some pain in my arm from the way it was during the surgery and that wasn't even related to what you are talking about...lol.
  12. I've never had that problem. In fact it is the only brand I can really tolerate. maybe you drank it too fast? Or maybe it was just a bad indigestion day? Did you miss your hb meds that day or the day before?
  13. Beginning challenge weight: 224 Current weight: 211 -5 since last week, -13 overall! Hoping I can push through, eat clean, focus and shed that last pound to goal!!
  14. This is mine from 3 months post op. Not "after" in that I'm still losing, but super pleased so far.
  15. Here is my most recent. This is 3 months post op. -51% of excess weight & 65 pounds I did this from my phone so hopefully the pics work :-)
  16. I get hiccups when I'm full :-)
  17. I went back after two weeks. I have predominantly an office job, plus teaching college classes, so not very physically demanding. I did ok, but I really could have used one more week energy wise.
  18. Thank you!! Good luck on your journey!
  19. My surgery was Sept 12th. I'm doing pretty well . I'm hoping to make it to 210 by New Years. At 3 months I lost 51% of excess weight & 65 pounds. Surgery Weight: 278.4 Current Weight: 213
  20. I didn't gave it during surgery but it started very unexpectedly 2 days post op. I hear this is very common, so even if you're not due for it I would throw some pads/tampons in your hospital bag just in case
  21. At three months post op I lost 51% excess weight and 65 pounds (starting 278.4)
  22. It's all relative because if you start at a higher weight you're bound to lose more, etc, but to answer your question, I lost 28 pounds in my first month.
