    Period during surgery, please help!

I had my surgery on March 6th and started my period that morning. I told the nurse and she had me wear a pad and special panties they gave me. When you check in and are doing your prep work tell the nurse. She/he will tell you what to do.
  4. I had to wait over a year with my insurance. I had to prove I had tried to lose weight on my own, then I had to take 24 week long classes, and then finally when those were over it was another 2 months before I could meet with the surgeon. I am glad I had the classes and can refer back to my material. I am 2 weeks out and cannot believe I am on a new journey. It seemed time has flown by.

    Sleeve 2/10.......excited

ReereeOC, Thank you it will be hard not carry my daughter around since I won't be able to lift anything over 10lbs. My current weight is 257 and I am 5'2. My over all goal is just to be healthy. I am hoping to loose at least 100 lbs or so. I want to be a lot more active with my kids. Diet wise I cannot gain anymore weight per DR orders. I doing 1-2 protein shakes a day until surgery. Work wise I will take maybe 5-7 days total. I do have a flexible boss who will let me work from home a few hours a day until I am feeling better... I am really training myself that I will need to get up and moving. Where do you live and do you have family support???

    Sleeve 2/10.......excited

Reereeoc Kaiser will pay for the surgery if you go through their program which is meeting their surgeon, lab test, EKG, and 24 weekly classes, another lab test, and fitness test. Once that is done they will preform the surgery. I wanted to start this journey in 2012 when I was doing research but instead I had a baby... so needless to say I am sooo ready...

    Sleeve 2/10.......excited

Hello, I have been a lurker on this board for the past 6 months as I completed my classes with Kaiser. I am excited to say all I have left to complete is my last lab and fitness test. I am waiting on them to call me next week to schedule them. I was told by February 23 my surgery will happen!!! It is so great to be at the end of this journey and start a new one... I would love to have a buddy or two talk with.
