I'm three months post op and have not used anything. My scars are fading, but not completely. What's the name oil? I had my 3 month check up today down 33 lbs. had labs done waiting on results, still struggling with 70-80 grams of Protein and 64 ozs. Water. I've finally learned to drink plain water without any crystal light.

Hi Nikki!! Welcome to the group. I'm an Okie and am having to do 3 months of an Atkins-like diet. Most people call it lean n green diet. It's hard. I give everyone major props for having to do any of the supervised diets.

Ms.brickhouse reacted to kimcox in New to the site....looking forward to gastric sleeve soon.
I am new to this site. I have started the journey to gastric sleeve surgery and hope to have surgery before the year is up. My surgeon requires a mandatory weight loss seminar that I have attended, plus a support group meeting which is also marked off the check list. My insurance (BCBS of AL) requires a 6 month weight loss plan(physician controlled) which I completed this month also. I have had a psych consult, and a cardiology consult....which I received clearance. I am just waiting on my last "check in" appointment at the surgeons office so they+ can get all of my paperwork in order and get ready to file for approval. I am 267-270 right now with a BMI of 48-49. I am very nervous about the approval process...I do not know anyone else with the same insurance as me(BCBS of AL PEEHIP)...educators insurance. I wish I could just find someone that has used the insurance to see how long the wait for approval was and if there were any problems. I do know that it pays 100% so I would be a fool not to go ahead with this. I look forward to meeting new people and getting the info I need from the gastric sleeve community! I appreciate any feedback you can give me! Thanks.
