  1. If you can't find SF ketchup at your local grocery store try Netrition....Walden Farms has one that is very good. http://www6.netrition.com/waldenfarms_condiments_page.html
  2. If you're eating a low fat, low carb and lean protein diet...you are or will be going into ketosis.
  3. I really like Ostrim jerky too! 80 calories, 3 carbs and 14 grams of protein!
  4. My favorite "go to meal" has been egg drop soup with a scoop of unjury unflavored protein powder. I got the recipe from Gamergirl's blog. Let me see if I can find the link.
  5. For those that have had surgery already and are having stomach issues...did your doctor presribe a PPI for you to take daily? My surgery was on 12/5 and I'm down 14 pounds!!!! So happy !!!!!
  6. I had my surgery on 12/5 and feel like I could go back to work next week but, I'm not!!!! I will give my body time to rest and heal after major surgery. Scheduled to return to work on 1/21/14 and not a day earlier! ;)I
  7. I'm officillay sleeved and home from the hospital. My surgery went well but I did have some wicked gas pains. I walked A LOT and got some relief. I was only allowed the lemon swabs until this morning...I was so happy for my sips of water.
  8. MnWin- Glad your appointment went well! I'm sure that you will follow your doctor's orders but, I believe it's a bunch of bull and just your doctor's preference. There are some of us (me included) who do not have to do a liquid pre-op diet.
  9. Just an FYI.... there is a great blog that some of us may find useful post -op. She has some great puree stage recipes! http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
  10. I I totally understand Sookiee. All of the "carby" Thanksgiving sides are my favorites, like cornbread stuffing and dirty rice. I haven't decided yet if I'll have any or not.
  11. Not a September sleever but I wanted to say congrats on your weight loss!
  12. You qualify per the DMHC guidelines. You shouldn't have any problem being approved but, please make sure that your employer doesn't have an exclusion in your policy.
  13. So sorry for your loss. May God be with you and your family during this very difficult time.
  14. Hi ShayLove I don't have any health issues or comorbidities and I was approved. Check with your insurance company about the requirements. My BMI is over 40 so...
  15. Try Nashua Nutrition. They have samples you can purchase from various vendors all on one site.
  16. I want to look good nekkid!
  17. This is SO me too MnWin. I like large quantities of food. Um, hello...I'm Blondiee and I'm a food addict. Going through my Options classes really made me realize this. It felt good to put that out in the universe so it can no longer control me.
  18. I agree with AtlantaRed...low carb will be the way to go after Thanksgiving.
  19. I've made changes along the way as well. Gave up caffeine and sugar In August or September ( I can't remember exactly) ,started taking a High Potency Multi Vitamin back in the summer and gave up soda. I started walking and using my elliptical machine 3-4 times a week. I have had a few of my favorite food items like green chile pork burritos and Mexican rice. That's OVER and done with! I'm focused now and mentally prepared and in the right mind set for this journey.
  20. You are a gorgeous lady with beautiful luxurious hair!!! Congratulations on your weight loss.
  21. I haven't told anyone except my HR rep and my direct supervisor. My supervisor had RNY last year and has lost over 100 pounds.
  22. Same here... My BMI is over 50 (5'2 and 285).
