  1. My insurance (Kaiser CA) required a 3 month program called Options. I didn't want to go... I also didn't want to pay for this surgery if I didn't have to. What requirements does your insurance have? I wish you the best in whatever decision you make!
  2. I know 10 days seems like and eternity after all of the appointments we have during this process but, be thankful that your insurance doesn't require more. Based on your signature it's been roughly 2 months for you?
  3. I'm not sure what insurance you have but I'd say give her 10 business days. If you haven't heard anything by then give her a call to see what the status is.
  4. What a transformation!!! You look amazing and 10 years younger!!! Thanks for sharing.
  5. There have been many threads on this subject since I've been here at VST. If someone asks me if I had weight loss surgery or how I'm losing weight my reply will be " my weight loss struggles are a private matter." I got this from a member here (don't remember your screen name, sorry). That is my final answer. I have only told my HR rep and my boss about my plans for surgery.
  6. Good for you kkrose! I'm glad they were able to get you in before your insurance changed.
  7. You look fantastic and thanks for sharing. #Random- I have that same black and white check skirt but mine is plus size...still pre-op.
  8. Nice...thanks for sharing!
  9. Congratulations and wishing you a speedy recovery. I hope I am one of those lucky people that wake up with just a little pain.
  10. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. From what I've read here on the boards what you're feeling is completely normal. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  11. Welcome Annie68. This place has been a godsend for me during my pre-op phase. Wishing you the best in your journey.
  12. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to add some of your questions to my list.
  13. I feel the same way Peachie. I have only told my direct supervisor (she had RNY) and my HR rep. I've always been a very private person and everyone doesn't need to know about MY medical history.
  14. Hi Peachie86, Glad that your experience was nice @ Kaiser. I'm putting positive energy out into the universe that my experience will be the same. How long did it take for Kaiser to call and schedule your consult after the Options classes? It's been a week since I've completed them and I'm NOT a patient person. lol
  15. Glad to hear that you're doing well. You'll be dropping the pounds in no time!
  16. I will not have to do a pre-op diet either but, I'm still waiting on a surgery date.
  17. Congratulations on getting approved!
  18. Way to go and keep up the good work.
  19. I'm sorry to hear that you're having a tough time but, as others have stated they really are trying to be courteous and help you in your journey. I hope things get better for you. *Hugs*
  20. Good luck Rebeca...wishing you a speedy recovery.
  21. WHAT?!?!?!? $1.97 plus and additional 25% off?!?!? You really did luck up on that sale and I totally pictured you walking with that tray in you hands trying to prevent your pants from falling down. Thanks for the giggle. Way to go on the weight loss!
