  1. Thanks.. it's scarry isn't it?
  2. Wow... all I know is these docs are apparently statistically the "best" and I'm lucky to have them here in my hometown. So I'm just gonna follow their advise because out of the thousands of these surgeries they've done so far they have had no complications and 0 deaths. Works for me! Also I wasn't looking for an easy way out.
  3. I'm always hot and everyone is always complaining I have the temperature down too much. I don't even own a sweater or a jacket! I was looking through old pictures and was surprised to see that when I was thinner I used to wear sweaters! I hope my body goes back to a more normal temperature as I lose weight
  4. It's probably wishful thinking that the boobs will stay!
  5. I was also sleeved on Monday. As long as I remember to take small sips I can drink as much as I want. I think the water just goes right through lol
  6. Hi, I go back to work on Monday November 5th. I'm terrified I won't be able to keep up with my protein and liquid intake. What did you do and how was getting back behind the chair for you?
  7. I'm only 5 days out and since surgery I have no desire to eat whatsoever.
  8. I was sleeved on the 21st with a hernia repair. If it wasn't for the hernia repair I physically wouldn't even know I had surgery! I feel better hour to hour. My biggest hurdle right now is remembering to take small sips. No nausea at all. I've been incredibly lucky.
  9. If you have children you will relate to this. Sometimes when my kids were little and if the were sick they would want to eat which just made them more sick. They couldn't tell if they were hungry or if they had a stomach ache. Since this stomach is totally new to us maybe we are like kids in that we just haven't learned to tell the difference yet.
  10. Another thing is the nectar is awesome and doesn't even taste like a protein drink
  11. Hi! I think mine is the same. 10 days liquid pre op. 10 days liquid (protein/water) post op, full liquids/puree until 10 weeks out, then soft until 6 months out. Are you having a hard time because you don't like the shakes or because you can't get enough in? If its because you can't get enough in, try adding a scoop of unflavored unjury to your shake or an extra scoop to boost the protein in what you can get down. It helps a lot. Also my dr. Told me the 64oz included all liquids at this stage so that was helpful. Good luck!
  12. I was sleeved on the 21st also. I'm so sorry you're going through all that. Honesty, with the exception of the toddler, I just flat wouldn't do anything else. The mess will still be there and either someone will step up or you can deal with it when you feel better. Remember you did this for yourself so it's really important to take care of yourself now. If you don't all the crap will just go on longer. Best of luck, I'm pulling for you!
  13. All of my labs are perfect. I have gotten between 65 &80 g protein amd 60-65oz daily.
  14. I'm still in phase one so protein shakes and water some broth that's it
  15. Hi, I would like to know how much everyone is walking in their first week or so after being sleeved? Thank you
  16. Here's what I don't get. .. if you eat x amount of calories you gain a pound. If you reduce by x amount of calories you lose a pound. So how come I haven't lost any damn pounds. If you do the math I should weigh like 3 lbs now!
  17. Heading into day five and nothing so far! I am going to be humiliated to go back to work in a week if I don't lose any weight. .. I feel like the only person in this whole forum that hasn't lost ANY weight the first week. Its especially frustrating since I have not been nauseated and am getting in all liquids and protein. WTF???
  18. I was sleeved on monday so I am day 4. First couple of days I didn't get any way near enough of anything. Sipping was more like dipping my upper lip into something and trying not to swallow to fast. Today I can take what I would consider a normal sip. I feel completely full all the time but the only pain I have now is the one incision where my hernia was fixed. You'll get there...it's amazing at how fast I'm healing
  19. Day 2&3... definately gets better after that
