  1. I hope your doing better today. The way this community stepped up to help you has truly been inspirational. I'm sorry I sabotaged it, if only for a moment. I can't imagine with all the people sending prayers your way that would would have anything to do but succeed.
  2. Well, just a thought. .. I think mfp should list it like they do walking... Sex, light effort Sex, moderate effer Sex, extreme effort Lol...
  3. I'm only two weeks out so I don't have personal experience. .. but as a hair stylist I have seen many people that have had wls. I'd say the one's that are diligent about tracking,, keeping all of their appointments and go to support groups are the ones that continue to do good year after year. The ones that don't often end up fat again at around year four. Per my surgeon. .. year one = loss, year 2= fun, year 3= honeymoon over!
  4. Never say never. .. you climed a mountain? !!! Amazing
  5. You know, it's funny isn't it. I was very thin and athletic my whole life. I grew up a gymnast so hard work is no stranger. I didn't develop a weight problem until around 31 yrs and its gotten worse over the last ten years. What's weird is when I look in the mirror I still see me. Then I'll see a picture of myself and I don't even recognize the person in it. Or I'll catch my reflection walking through the mall and I just can't believe I let this happen to me. I don't know why our brains play this dirty little trick on us. For me it's so severe I have to take a picture of myself to "see" how I look if I'm going out. But just as I earned my self image you have eearned yours. If your in doubt about how you look in something, try taking a selfie... it'll help. Btw... congratulations,, you so beautiful you have blown your own mind!
  6. Ok, so how are you logging sex in mfp? I mean if you go at it for an hour are you putting undrr aerobics? Lol (embarrassed)
  7. Water, protein shake, broth and Lortab all in those little 1oz cups which I saved up and brought home with me... very helpful in the first week! No purees till day 10
  8. Today is two weeks for me too and I also had a 10 day liquid pre op. I went about 6 days with no more than about a 1/2lb loss ... started walking more, now not only do I feel 90% better but I'm starting to lose again. Seems like I'm gonna have to get used to the stop and go... its normal. I figure it gives me something to look forward to! Lol
  9. Oh.. i can't wait for that! Good for you!
  10. This advise is perfect... you can do this!
  11. Visual = the movie 'Bridesmaids" = shutter. You are brave to share this story, I will nevrr drink lemonade again. How horrible for you

I have eaten a bowl of cereal and milk almost everyday my entire life. I love cereal. I will never have it again for fear of opening up pandoras box. All or nothing for certain things like cereal and soda. Crazy thing is I'm totally fine with it. Most cravings go away within a min.. stay strong
  13. Your story is incredible! You must be an incredibly special person for God to put you through all of that knowing you would come out of it an inspiration. I believe you have many special moments to come and that you will graciously embrace each one. Thank you so much, you are truly special.
  14. I was doing great... didn't have the slightest desire for any of the candy (weird).. but my 11yr old son was so distressed at the fact that I couldn't have any. I tried to explain to him that I really didn't want any but he just kept getting more upset, probably because it's always been so important to me before. After about 20 min he said 'can't you just have one chocolate kiss mommy?' Resigned to his total pathetic-ness I said ok. He unwrapped it, kissed it, popped it in my mouth and whispered "don't tell sissy" ...too cute!
  15. I'm two weeks out tomorrow and struggling with this too.
  16. Everyone goes through stalls, it's totally normal. The gain can be anything from water retention to TOM or even muscle. Hang in there and keep tracking, you'll get there
  17. I do this on a regular basis, like ohhh I just about succeeded so I think I'm going to sabotage myself now, then I can come up with a hundred excuses why I couldn't make it work! You screwed up, I hope it was at least fun, tomorrow, get right back on track...and remember to give yourself a break. You're worth it :-)
  18. HW 250 SW 247 Day of surgery 236 CW 225!! 225!! GW 230-250? If you have a chocolate protein powder try heating up some hot water then adding powder.... tastes just like hot chocolate. . Yum! Goes down easier too!
  19. I agree.. that's why I apologized. Was having a really bad night, that's not my usual. I'm sure everyone has had a moment of stupidity they have regretted. Peace
