They had me a surprised intervention.
A lot of people do not experience this. I do not and I am almost 4 weeks out. But keep this in mind because anyone who has this surgery its a real possibility.

When did you start soft foods?
The general consensus is soft foods at around 3-4ish weeks.

I went to the grocery store today and I was stumped. At 4 weeks out, what do you eat?
No I haven't tried yet. Have you tried eating salad yet? How did that work?

Need some advice/help/motivation...
It happens, you're only human. Now maybe start thinking about trying one of those 5 day pouch cleanses and just start fresh. Tomorrow is another day and yesterday is gone.

I am starting to crave some fruits and veggies. Spinach in particular. I had some apple sauce the other day and my stomach was like "NO MA'AM!" and shut that down. It didn't like applesauce. Weird.

Besides the normal stuff from the very liquidy last few weeks... I feel I can pretty much eat just about anything now (with caution, of course) but as I was walking through the grocery store I couldn't figure out any good "transition" foods. What were you eating at 4 weeks out?

Before and after 4 months

How does one locate a psychologist who specializes in overeating?
Try a Google search. Also, check for overeaters anonymous meetings in your area. They're free and quite helpful.

Granted I just pull it down to small sips but I cannot and probably will not get the hang of this. I know sleeved people who simply do not follow this rule and it works for them but sometimes I feel that when I eat a small amount of food there is residue in my mouth and some down my esophagus. I need a sip to enjoy some foods. I am about 100% certain that I will never get used to this and will continue to sip.

Leaks
Every doctor is different. Some folks will come in here and tell you 3-4 weeks. Some will tell you after 1 week. Some will tell you after 6 months and I have even seen someone come in a say after a year. You won't get one specific answer here, unfortunately.

pizza 3 months out

Feeling Like Crap!
And this is all temporary, remember that. You'll be back in the swing of things soon enough.

Feeling Like Crap!
They are being helpful by not eating in front of you. You are being left out and even though you understand their sentiment you still feel left out. But that's not their fault. Personally I wouldn't say a word. They're kind of doing you a favor.

Cottage cheese....?
Mine didn't. I loved cottage cheese before and loved it after surgery. Though post surgery I had a new distaste for broth I didn't have before surgery.
-
Cottage cheese....?
You can eat anything now? I had surgery same day as you and they want me on soft foods this week. Just ate some tuna for the first time in ages. What food have you eaten so far?

I know most people or carb crazy but will I ever be able to eat a sandwich again?
Thank you guys for replying to this and sharing your story. I am three weeks post op today and just starting soft meats. I have a long way to go but I'm on it. I cannot wait to just be relatively "normal" again.
