I dont have to do a liquid pre op either

I was wondering how they were about approving me...The said they cover 100%..but I don't know how long it takes them..

Hello, I am still pre-op & I'm looking for a good, low sugar breakfast bar or snack bar. I hear fo all the protein drinks but never the bars, I'm sure reason being, your on liquids, but say, post op..a year out, there must be something good for you...I have been getting Atkins bars, lots of protein, low fat no sugar...anything else I can try?

I agree also with Premier...but I do use "Unjury" (only bought on-line) because of the chicken soup flavor, 20 grams (powered) but add milk (8grams) to it for cream of chicken soup and later on I can add real chicken & veggies....about 100 calories with water..and its really good...they also have unflavored....

I am also a diet coke freak....I am pre-op & do not have a date yet but have completed everything else....I first, had to quit smoking...done...I did find in the grocery store these squeeze drink enhancers...in with the crystal lites etc...the one I use in my water is an "energy" one...it has B3, B6 & B12 in it but it also contains 60mgs of caffeine...this little plastic bottle has help me alot weaning off my diet coke...

Good for you....I can't wait...I have finished everything, now I have to meet with the surgeon on Sept 9th.....then I have to wait for the insurance...I'm hoping for Sept/Oct....Keep us posted!

Hello.....this is the whole problem.....You have to quit smoking & be NICOTINE free...no nicotine in your system at all....No e-cig, no vapor cig, no inhaler, no patch!!! I had to have a separate blood test called "cotinine" last week & I still don't know the result but haven't heard anything...I quit all nicotine before July 1st...

Congrats....I just got the phone call for my 1st appointment with the surgeon on Sept 9th....then I have to wait for insurance.. The brand "Unjury" has very good chicken soup...its online only...

Uggg it wasn't easy...finally got my pre-op weight off....now they are setting up an appointment for me to meet the surgeon....How long do you think it will take to get a date??? I have everything else done...I will have to say it was easier quitting smoking that to get those 12 lbs off!!

Has anyone had to quit smoking (after 43 yrs), quit diet coke and lose weight? I quit the smoking (yeah) and not worried about the diet cokes, but do you think I can get the 10 lbs off.....since June!!! I still have 3 more to go & I have a weigh-in tomorrow...I think I'm doing everything Im suppose to....Protein, no sugar, few carbs, walk 20 minutes a day, jot everything on Fitness Pal ...Do you think it could be from quitting smoking or the diet cokes?? I am hoping to be a Sept sleever & I started this in March!!

I only told a few people....I'm not worried about failure nor am I embarrassed...Its just my personal thing...Alot of people will express there negativite to the surgery whiles other say, I'm fine...I don't need it...so instead of sharing, I prefer to keep it to myself....Its been since March 2013, when I decided upon this & I still don't have a date yet...1st, I had to quit smoking, then give up diet coke...done....now its 2 more lbs to go...all my tests are done & insurance submitted.....now everyone that I did tell about my surgery has forgotten...

Don't know...I was told it would be removed before I come out of surgery & that I would only be in the hospital over night for the sleeve...

did you have your Endoscopy done yet?? The knock you out for that..

Then what is a liquid diet?? You count the calories in what? Isn't liquid like tea, diet coke, water, boullion?

They just said they don't do that like other hospitals....so should I just drink protein shakes? How many?

Hello, I am pushing 57 & 85 lbs over weight....I am having the hardest time to lose my last 3 lbs & until I do that, they won't give me a surgery date...I am seeing alot of posts about a liquid diet 2 weeks before??? I asked my doctors about that & they said no.. I have another drs appt in 5 days...how can I get those 3 lbs off...I need help...if not, I have to wait for another drs appt in 2 weeks...ughhh..
