Ill be meeting w my surgeon tomorrow to discuss my date. I haven't been able to sleep all weekend. All I can think of is how wonderful my life is going to be, how many more activities ill be able to do with my children, how ill be able to cross my legs, fit comfortably in a booth, how I won't be the "biggest" in the room... The list goes on and on. The one thing that I'm having a struggle with is wondering how I will look as a small girl. I've been morbidly obese for years an at one point I was extremely comfortable in my own skin, but after having kids my body grew larger and the confidence just changed. I can't wait to find that confidence and self love that I once had. Will Monday hurry up already.

It's been a long six months for me, but I am so happy to say that I finished my checklist and my papers got submitted to the insurance company today. Now ill be anxiously waiting on the edge of my seat for a reply. I'm praying so hard that I am approved. Fingers crossed

Ok, so I'm curious if anyone else is keeping their surgery somewhat of a secret? A very small amount of friends know about my surgery. I didn't want to hear their negative/uneducated thoughts.. So I've kept it to myself and reached out to support groups. Plus, I didn't want people constantly asking me who much I've lost and what can I eat/when. Too many repetitive questions that I don't want to answer over and over again...

You have a very strong opinion and yes what you're saying is true and does apply to some, but each marriage is different and I stand by what I say, marriage is just a piece of paper statin that two individuals are married. I've been with my husband for 15 years we had a better relationship before tying the knot. What I was saying as in marriage being a piece of paper is that it shouldn't take a "husband" or a "wife" to make you feel complete, to love you and honor you. You do that as individuals not as a married couple.

Omg! I cannot tell you how much I can relate to your story! I too am havin the surgery to live and enjoy life with my children. My husband also is no family man he is very selfish and lazy. If it doesn't benefit him in any way he's not doing it. I have slowly stopped complaining although not completely, but I'm tired of repeating myself and him making no effort to change. I plan as you do honey, I don't think it is wrong i think it's your best option. What is marriage? Just a sheet of paper... Love should be loyal and given the same amount from each partner. I pray that once all is said and done and I finally feel wonderful about myself that god can Grant me the strength to walk away, the serenity to be at peace once I do, and the wisdom to never go back.

I just went for my endoscopy yesterday, I now only have two more nutrition appointments and I will get my surgery date. I am so excited but a little nervous that my insurance will not cover it because I have no major medical concerns, my bmi is just really high. I have united health care and their requirements are a bmi of 40 and over to be covered but you never can tell. Has anyone else not had any medical issues and were covered by insurance just for a high bmi?

I'm also sooo anxious and have never wanted anything so bad, I feel like I have researched over and over again. I am beyond ready for this. I have my endoscopy tomorrow, one more nutrition apt, then I get my date! It seems so far away but worth the wait I'm sure
