before surgery, I used to put on 4 lbs the week of my period. Maybe that's what's happening with you? This was my week as well, I am very down today, no doubt due to the hormones, and I didn't lose anything. In fact, I made sure to drink my water, and my weight went up a pound. I'm sure that's a lot of what is going on with you as well. It will pass and we'll both feel better soon. In the meantime, (((((hugs)))))

I'm so glad you posted about this, because I too have wondered if will have the faith and conviction this time to GET RID of the bigger sizes, and believe that this time, this time I won't need them again.
I'm not sure.

This is how it happened with me and and my husband. I told him I was doing it, and asked for his help in encouraging me to stay on plan. What resonated with him was I said I had no idea how long I would live, but I intended to spend that time as a thin person, able to do things I wanted to before I died. He realized he wanted the same thing.
I can NOT tell you how beneficial it has been to have a buddy go through it at the same time. We did our pre-op together, we had surgery the same day, and now we're recovering together. We can support each other, we can share experiences, and we can take care of each other.
I don't know if your sister lives close by, but it would be so good for both of you to be able to help each other through this, even if she lives far away.

I feel your pain! My surgery date is July 31st and this diet is making me so drained! I tried to increase my vitamins and intake of protein but still dead tired after work and have to take a nap. Glad to know that I'm not in this alone....... Trying to stay strong!

Wow...love your story...keep writing. My hubby and I enjoyed imagining what I may be going through this time in two weeks. I'm getting excited. Thanks for your perspective.... luck, love and prayers...

I took my dog for a walk around the block and felt like I'd ran a marathon. I had to take a nap. I would have thought by now I would walk a mile effortlessly. Recovery from VSG is not for sissies....

This is day 3 for me, and I've got to say I haven't been hungry at all. I had a slight headache last night, but 2 Tylenols took care of it. I've been shopping all day today and doing a lot of running around. I didn't feel tired though till I sat down at my computer. They say the first 3 days are the hardest. If that's the case, the next 10 days should be a breeze.

i wish i would have done what u did i cheated on day 5 and believe me not worth it at all stay strong i will be hard but u can do it good luck.
