  1. Has anyone watched Fat Sick and Nearly a Dead?
  2. You go! One I stopped feeling pain it was on! Lol. Ok I found these protein chips that are 10g's of protein and 130 calls per bag. Health-Wise is the brand. I put my tuna with light mayo on each lil cracker. Yuuuuummmyy! It was less than 2 oz of tun, but the two together were 28 g's of protein and I had no issues at all. I felt normal. Today for lunch I did it with chicken and mayo while my kids ate Sonic right in front of me. I looked at what they were eating and remember.....that's what gave me high cholesterol and all this weight that I'm trying to get off. NO THANK YOU!
  3. I felt exactly the same way.....I made me an egg white with cheddar cheese omelet and chewed the hell out if it. I'm 2 weeks out and eating what I want, but in moderation. It's all healthy high protein as I can get. Canned chicken smashed to hell with a lil light mayo. I've had it 3 times and feel great! You may need more calories, especially if you're exercising. I couldn't get enough calories in...so I expanded my diet. The key is to chew the hell out of it so you're new tummy doesn't have to do much work. The egg omelet was like an experience. Just to chew something was heaven. Now....that's what I did and it's working for me. Be careful and try things lil by lil. Don't be hard on yourself. You made this decision to live a healthy full life and you deserve just that. I'm heard if you need some more ideas. :-)
  4. What a great testimony for someone on the fence. Congratulations!!!
  5. Scoots??? Hilarious!!! I'm almost 44 and never heard it called that.
  6. I wanted to let everyone know that Savers / Value Village gives you 20% off when you donate your clothes. You get a tax receipt too! They are clean, neat, and shop panel thrift stores. You can even find new stuff in there. I only know because I've worked for them for 5 year. Lol. I'm a DM. We help support 4 non- profit charities in my community. We pay them based on weight. The more you bring the more we pay. Best part is the money stays in YOUR local community!!!
  7. I did have the same feeling of aching until two days ago. My doc said its normal. It's the nerves. They said give it 4 weeks, but so far I'm doing good. It feels strange when I sleep in my sides, but I sleep better that way. Poo'ing sucks! I take laxatives once a day now. I used to be regular with my morning caffeine, but I don't drink caffeine any longer. You may want to try not drinking milk and use soy. You may be lactose intolerant now. Milk makes me gassy and diarrhea. It could be a result of the surgery for you. I've been that way for years.
  8. My doc said we lose in our legs and upper body first. I'm noticing just that. The back of my legs in my pants are loser. My hips too, just the waste where the buttons are....not enough for me. I keep telling myself....it will come. :-). Stay positive!
  9. I was pre-diabetic. I focused on Protein, veggies, no carbs. I did one Protein shake for Breakfast. I lost 23 lbs before surgery by just doing that. Carbs are like crack cocaine to an addict. Lol
  10. I agree completely with Jersey girl. What you want to ensure you do is know your companies policies in how everyone should be treated and be that. If she is hostile and you are fearful if her......well that's a whole if fervent ball game. HR is your friend in that case. Using the the words "unprofessional" is how you get your point across to her without accusing her. Our egos are powerful and want to take over. You've done good! Stay calm, cool, collected, and use your HR policy book to your advantage if need be. No one ah nod ever have to work in a demeaning environment. Best to you!
  11. PB2

LoryLosesXS replied to alene's topic in Food and Nutrition
I stumbled upon it in Walmart of all places. There was PB2 with chocolate too. Anyway....For me I have a hard time with the sweetness of all Protein shakes, so I came up with my own through reading all there's comments. . powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Unflavored Protein powder, PB2 2 Tbls, 2 Tsp of Unsweetened Cocoa, milk (I use soy due to being lactose intolerant), and Stevia added for the sweetness I like. I sometimes add a few ice cubes. That sucker packs a whopping 43gs of protein and 275 in calories and it's super yummy!!! I think it's a great Meal Replacement, but I've had so many I'm cool on it right now. I'm only 2 weeks out of surgery and grateful to chew on something. :-)
  12. I stayed one night. I appreciated the morophine every 2 hours. Lol. Happy to get home in my comfort zone though.
  13. I'm 2 days less than 2 weeks out from surgery. I stopped pain meds yesterday afternoon. I had some radiating pains in my gut. It's gone now and I feel good. Adapting to my tummy and trying to be a creative cook to get protein in. I can't wait to make healthy high protein foods. He will be just fine.
  14. No way. I've known people with the bypass that are overweight now. This is only a tool for us to get a huge kick start to a healthy hopefully drug free life.
  15. I appreciated the compliment. I'm nervous myself too. I've been warned to get in enough Protein, so that's my daily goal along with the caloric intake. :-). What I just decided to do as of now is keep a visual of what I want my hair to look like, stay like, and look at it daily. Retrain my mind to think only positive in this avenue as I have done in so many others. We are what we think about....thoughts are powerful...this I know.......so....I'm going with that. :-). Bet to all!!!
  16. Great job! Enjoy this great feeling. Tell those sabotaging thoughts to take a hike. You're on a journey of great health!!! :-)
  17. I'm thinkin like all vitamins it only will work if it's good quality, long term, the large amounts they recommend. I wish you the best! Everything my Wellness doc says. S Protein intake should be from 90 to 110 grams for women daily. I'm working my way up that way. I wish you the best!!!
  18. Oh no so sorry! My bariatric support group nurse said that our hair will grow back. I've gone through phases where I lost a lot of hair due to extreme stress. I don't have thick hair. I cut my hair into a blunt bob to help is look thicker. I hope that is somewhat helpful.
  19. Oh yes thank you! Finally no pain meds all night and all day so far! I'm so happy!!!
  20. Congratulations! I know weight loss is a great feeling. Enjoy!
