All SEPTEMBER 2013 SLEEVERS..Check in here!
I'm under the 250 mark! Yeah for me.....it's been years! Next goal is under 225. I'm thinking 25 lb. increments is the best way to go. Although being under 200 will be a celebration! That's when I'll buy me some new clothes. It's crazy because I'm eating things I like, just not massive amounts like I used to and no simple carbs. Thank you God for this surgery. It is the best thing that's happened to me in a loooong time. :-)

All SEPTEMBER 2013 SLEEVERS..Check in here!
The best way I've found to do a Protein Shake is to use unflavored and either let the fruit you add sweeten it or use stevia. My fav is to make it with unsweetened cocoa and PB2 peanut butter(less calories and fat, but same protein). I sweeten it with either frozen ripe bananas I made or stevia. I can't stand the sweet either.

All SEPTEMBER 2013 SLEEVERS..Check in here!
Was 281 august 28th. Now 252 and dropped a size and almost another size. My legs and boobs are going first. :-/. Lol I am focusing on getting 80 to 90 grams of Protein in a day. I have hit 100 here and there. I eat a lot of animal products. I'm adding in more veggies now. I crave a salad, but was avoiding what Fiber does to my tummy. I have ore energy than ever and strangely enough I don't have to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes. I'm thinking because my stomach was huge (surgeon said) and the far loss. Dr. Macintyre is my surgeon and he rocks!!! I live in LV, NV. I did get mad because the hospital is trying to get another 1100k out of me after paying my co-pay. I couldn't believe what they charged for one night stay. 68k for surgery and one night if care. My insurance negotiated it down to 16K. Just wild! My goal is to be medication free by the end if this month. Workout 5 days a week and continue my healthy eating choices for life.:-)

I hope you like it! I just has one for lunch. :-)- September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
I just realized that with my preOp liquid diet and postOp I have lost 6lbs per week on average. For a minute I didn't think I was losing that much. Crazy how our mind wants to discourage us into thinking it's not fast enough. Lol. I told myself to take a chill pill and enjoy this journey of living a healthy lifestyle. :-).- October Sleevers ~~~ How's your weightloss going so far?

I use soy milk due to being lactose intolerant. My teenage son says it tastes the same. We need the Protein and calories, so it's best to use milk or soy milk. :-)- September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
Unflavored with PB2 powdered peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa 1 tablespoon sweetened with stevia and add ice. I drink soy due to being lactose intolerant.- October Sleevers ~~~ How's your weightloss going so far?
2 servings of cocoa and 2 tablespoons of PB2 and Stevia to your sweet liking. Ice makes it better too!:-)- How soon is too soon?

I feel great! I have more energy than ever!- Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
Try liquid or gummy vitamins. Sorry for your struggles. You can get through this and come out ahead health wise. Best wishes!!!- October Sleevers ~~~ How's your weightloss going so far?
I found adding unsweetened cocoa, PB2 powdered peanut butter and sweetened with Stevia is the best non protein powder smelling :-) shake I've had. I must have drank 50 of them before and after. Still like it too!- Lots of questions
I was over 130 lbs over weight before surgery. Some who were super obese have sagging skin. The goal for most is to get to a healthy weight where medications are not necessary. I not only wanted that, but I wanted to have energy and feel like I could move with out labor ing for breath. I hope to have a tummy tuck and a boob lift once I hit my goal weight. We shall see. Best wishes!!!- October Sleevers ~~~ How's your weightloss going so far?
What's happening to you is normal. Our bodies are shocked and hold on to Water after the glycogen is used up. Make sure to measure yourself or go by your clothes and how they fit. The scale can be discouraging. I haven't lost the way I had hoped, but the fact that I'm down 38 lbs total and dropped a whole size and about to drop another, I'm going to focus on that. For me this is about a new lifestyle. This is about taking care of me. The weight loss will come, so I don't obsess about it. There are forums on here with links to explain what is happening. 2 week stall I think it's called. Best wishes!- Whats the deal with no coffee anyhow?
My dietician told me that it can dehydrate you. I believe it from the years of seeing a trainer before gaining weight. Our tummies are tiny and we need to stay hydrated. Coffee does the opposite. It was hard for me to give up my addiction to caffeine. I went through a 3 day detox. I decided to buy some wonderful teas from Teavana that are caffeine free. Now it's the ritual of my morning hot tea. Plus it counts as liquid intake. :-)- September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
Your body hold on to water. It will pass. Stay the course. I had a stall week 3. I'm happy with any loss because I'm not gaining, but I'm not losing like some.- September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
. String cheese and baby bel cheese tastes good chewed to death. :-)- Skipping Pureed
I did. I was super careful about what I ate and ensured I chewed 30 times. I'm doing great! When I eat something crunchy or a bit tough I know I got some chewing to do. :-). Everyone is different. If your tummy can tolerate it, then I believe it's ok. Others may not agree. I'm one month out and I am eating fish, chicken, tuna, shrimp, turkey sausage, ground turkey, etc... I add spices or sauces to my liking and I and doing great. I focus on Protein through animal sources right now. I eat yogurt, cheeses, and cottage cheese daily. I'd like to keep my hair thank you very much. Lol. I get at least 90 grams of protein in a day easily. Calories have difficult to get in, but I'm now up to 1000 calories and working my way up to 1200. I have no heart burn. The key is to stop eating before you feel a fullness sensation. I do that by serving sizes to myself. I know in my past I have been neglectful when I eat. I didn't pay attention. I've done that twice since surgery and spent a few hours on the couch regretting it. I hope that helps.:-)- What do you watch on Netflix?
AMC has some of the best shows out there.- September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
Have you tried puddings or yogurts? Cheese if chewed up really good desolves. Sorry to hear about your struggle.- What do you watch on Netflix?
