  1. Jashantee.....I've done the same thing. I've watched the surgery 3 times online and looked at hundreds of before and after pics. The Pre-Op diet is what I see as the biggest struggle. I hope I am strong and disciplined enough. I need this for me. Curiosity is a good thing! Educating ourselves I think is great. We need to be mentally prepped. :-)
  2. After watching a video of what is in chick nuggets....I will never eat one again. Deep fried foods are part of the reason I got overweight. No judgement though. Just sharing. I wish you perfect health! :-)
  3. Please say a prayer for me. I am hoping for a fast approval for my surgery. I've done all I can do. I took a stress leave from work because it became too much to work and take care of me for the first time in my life. I've lost 15 lbs and 5 more to go before surgery. Please send your positive ju ju my way. I need support. Thanks and I wish everyone here their dreams of great health to come true.
  4. I keep almonds with me at all times. My doc sells small size Oh Yeah bars. They are a fulfilling snack. :-)
  5. What I've found to be true is doctors are not experts, except in what they do specifically. When it comes to nutrition and vitamins we should seek out a professional. I see a Metabolic and Hormone doctor. He does layers of tests that unearthed things that normal tests don't see. He then prescribed me vitamins and prescriptions to help balance out my systems. In turn I've lost 10lbs. And don't want to rip people's heads off. Lol Anyway....if you live in Vegas let me know. Ill give you his information. He's awesome. He's also being used as my nutritionist for Pre-op hoops I am jumping through. All in all its wild how this money making surgery is collecting a lot of healthcare people who don't know their stuff or are just learning. Instincts are a woman's gift. :-) Best wishes everyone.
  6. I'm hoping for a September approval. I'm on my last hoop to jump through tomorrow. My surgeon said I'm good to go after that. It will be up to Cigna at that point. Please send your positive juju my way. I wish everyone a speedy recovery!
  7. I'm a,so here for support also. I'm jumping through my last hoop before submitting to insurance for approval. Think positive with me. I'm hoping for 9/16 or before. :-)
  8. So sorry to hear about the bad experiences. I firmly believe everything happens for us and not to us. I've been through a lot myself. What I know for sure is I am in charge of my thoughts. I can choose to suffer or focus on what I want and take steps each day in that direction. I get up everyday and journal my thoughts. Anything that is bothering me, regardless of what it is. Then I stop and listen. For years I've been guided on how to think and proceed. Then I write down and say my positive affirmations. Hope that helps! It's changed my life direction for the last 20 years into a great ones!
  9. Teavana has all kinds of great fruity teas that are calorie free. You could add Stevia to taste. The best part of the tea leaves is you can reuse them a few times. They are in malls and online. I learned a lot when I went into the store. Plus I feel like I'm drinking luxury! Lol
  10. I've heard lack of potassium will make you feel similar. Glad you're feeling better!
  11. Congratulations Seth! I'm in the Pre-Op stages and I too thought about Amatuer body building, but not the kind where I'll look like a man. Lol. My goal is to get as fit as possible to live a full active fun life! If you'd like someone to share your successes with....I'm here. :-) Lorayne P.s. I have no idea why my pic is coming out upside down. :-/
