  1. How are you doing? I'm tomorrow. Any tips for me?
  2. You look amazing! Beautiful woman! :-)
  3. Tomorrow is my day! I know I'm doing the right thing. Surrendering and trusting the medical team is the hardest part for me. Probably need to be more vulnerable in life anyway. :-). Best wishes to all !
  4. I think the fact that you're thinking about doing it....you have your answer. My parents stayed with me this summer for a month and they both are overweight too. They could barely get out of the their chairs or walk without labored breathing. It made me see what my future holds. I have two kids and a granddaughter I want to see grow up. They need me to be healthy. Not only that....I desire a dynamic life full of energy. Not a life where I can't wait to sit down or take a nap. I wish you all the best in your journey!!!
  5. Just wanted to update you only bullet. I've had it two weeks now and love it still. It blasts the ice! I puréed a bean Soup last night. It works great. I do recommend getting an extra small cup. :-)
  6. I'm on the 28th! 9am I have to be there. Not drinking water is gonna suck. I'm going to give it all I got and then surrender to this process. I know it's the right thing to do. I want my energy and life back. I hope all is well!
  7. Sounds yummy!!! I can't wait to try it!!!
  8. See if you can get sublingual. I have vitamin B I take that way. I'm taking the gummy multi vitamins and Vita C...I hope it doesn't make me sick. I'm thinking if I chew the heck out them until they are almost liquid, it may agree with my new tummy. I'm thinking there's a lot of vitamins in any protein drink too. I love the Bari-wise protein Water favors. At least for now. I pray I won't begin to gag on them. The smoothies are so thick and super sweet. What the heck! We need a vendor who doesn't make them so darn sweet. :-/. Good luck on your new journey!
  9. I wish there was a Chick-fil-a in Vegas. :-/. I loved going there when I lived in MO. I love the mango flavored iced tea made with Splenda, but my dietician took me off caffeine. I was an addict. The minute I can drink coffee or caffeinated tea....I'm all over it! Lol. No calories and energy....sounds like a perfect combo!!!
  10. Bari-wise are good and have protein. They flavor your water. Knock out two things in one. 15 to 17 g of protein. I have a feeling I'll be emptying those boxes after surgery. The Protein shakes are so flipping sweet. I like the unflavored unjury protein. I can make my own kind of smoothly. It doesn't have a strong smell either. We are gonna look rockin in a 6 months! :-). Hang in there! I have to do 2 weeks preOp liquids and 2 after. I might go crazy myself!
  11. That's the first I've heard this. I met with my nutritionist last week and she instructed me to get at least 60g's of protein daily. I'm on clear only day 1 and 2 of surgery. From all the research I've done....and it's been extensive....protein is critical for the right kind of weight loss. 60G is still small in comparison to what the Mayo clinic suggests to lose and maintain healthy weight loss. He may have a reason. I would ask him why? Doctors are not Gods. That's why they call it a practice. The more they do the more they learn. The scary part is it's our health on the line. I always research everything because doctors, nurses, and nutritionists are not always right or do they have the best information. I wish you the best health possible.
  12. Thanks for sharing! I hope I don't gain 11 lbs., but at least we both know huge weight-loss is right around the corner. :-) YAYYY! For us! We are taking care of us!!!
  13. I am scheduled for Saturday and I've been on full liquid diet for a 9 days. Yes I'm counting the days down. Anyway, what I have done is made a list of things I have procrastinated on and I am slowly each day chipping away at it. However I am off work and taking care of me for the first time in my life. Well at least since I've had kids. I suggest you take time to do some soul searching so this change will be a positive one. I have decided to do that and move my body everyday for at least 15 minutes. I want a full life, so now it's time to make a massive change. Good luck!!! Life is what we make it!!! :-)
  14. I wish you a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery!!! It's a new beginning! YAYYY!!!
  15. I purchased the unsweetened semi-sweet chocolate. I put it into the unflavored protein powder from Unjury and sweeten to my liking. I find some of the shakes too sweet. Th s has a deep rich chocolate flavor with minimal calories. I don't have an addiction to chocolate. I'd be in the cabinets looking for a carb in the past.
  16. How did your surgery go? I'm scheduled for the 28th.
  17. How did your surgery go? I'm scheduled for the 28th.
  18. That's gotta be hard. This is your time and I think subconsciously the people the closest to us sabotage us without even knowing that's what they're doing. Do it for you. You deserve perfect health! :-)
  19. I just received my nutri-bullet two days ago. I love it! I use the small cup. I like the handle that can be screwed on. It blends like a beast! Easy clean up too! After surgery and healed up tummy I plan on using it to get Fiber in. Plus I'm on a new path of living healthy. This will be yet another tool for me. :-). Best wishes!!!
  20. Hang in there. The first 4 days were the hardest. I'm doing a little better now. I had to mourn the loss so food and caffeine. I decided after my few days of being depressed to pull myself together and start being creative. Make some fun out of it. I'm experimenting. I tried one shake and gagged. Another was pretty good. I also realized I've been wanting to do this for years. I'm tired of being fat, unhealthy, and on 10 medicines due to being overweight. I want to live a long full life. We are in control and we an eat, but we can also be in control of our lives now. I wish you the best. You deserve it!!!
