I would pick Dr. Illan and his staff over and over. The care they gave and continuing to keep updated on me is amazing. The personal attention we received while there as far as getting dinner and getting around still amazes both my husband and I. Feel free to ask me anything. I'll give you the honest reply back Going to Mexico is a scary decision but I know I made the right choice!

so I had my surgery 8.31.13 Dr Illan and arrived on Friday 8.30.13 around 6pm and was in room 7. Were we there the same time? Sorry to hear about your IV but I have a terrible time in the states b/c I have no veins and they got mine 2nd go around. My room was in good shape so I wasn't disappointed with the hospital. I'll have to post my pics as soon as I figure it out. Omar had us all over Tijuana eating soups and hubby eating seafood. Would you do it again? Omar did everything thing from picking us up at our location in San Diego, getting my hubby feed while I ate ice chips after surgery and day before, getting us to hotel (super nice!!!) taking us to get meals that we would never have found on our own. They are such great people inside and out. Call him and ask him anything. I already feel like a brand new person Wish I had done this sooner. I won't lie- first day hurts but once the gas is out you are feeling good. I'm just getting back home from a life changing experience. My surgery was 8:31:13 with Dr. Illan. I feel like a brand new person and would recommend him and Omar any day hands down! Omar takes care of everything from hotel, to where to eat what to do. GREAT people inside and out. Feel free to message me about anything. I thought Florence Hospital was really nice, maybe not as nice as US but we are going to Mexico. Nurses were very kind and warm to me and didn't hesitate to get anything I needed. my surgery was a wonderful experience with Baja Bariatrics. the nurses were great along with the entire staff, I feel like a brand new woman. Omar with Baja Bariatrics goes well beyond the call of duty! He is one of the best persons we have ever met, dont second guess anylonger! call him or video chat with them today, they have changed my life already? I would recommend to my family &friends. when you are looking at carbs and sugar grams what range did you stay in? I know 0 sugars but what about fruits with natural sugars? Some things I see have maybe 3-6g of sugar. I get sleeved 8/31 and really want to get started on the right foot. You show it can be done I'm going to TJ so not sure how much info I will get. Thanks! Sherry

Hey Ya'll! Well I barley make the August sleevers and am schedule for August 31, 2013 with Dr. Illan inTJ. I'm so pumped and ready! My FB buddies from team Illan have been having wonderful experiences with their journey. Watch out TJ because here I come...........................

Well I've bought our tickets for San Diego! Surgery set in TJ for August 31, 2013. Plan on turning this new journey into a mini vacation before and after. I'm so excited to be having my surgery with Dr. Illan and meeting Omar. My loving husband of almost 27 years (wow) will be going with me on this journey. I thought Mexico, no way, until I read everyone's experiences and talked to some by phone. I can actually have this surgery and it's not a dream anymore! I'm already planning (wanting) to start playing golf, run/walk in the Turkey Dash for the homeless shelters in Roanoke VA, go to a waterpark next year and ride all the slides and I haven't even had my surgery yet! LOL! I'm so pumped to get this started. How about you? {{HUGS}} to all

soon. I'd like to get this done before kids get back in school but my BMI is 56 so I will have special diet for 3-4 weeks. were you worried about crime near the hospital? All these drug lord shootings scare me. I was looking at Dr . Perez in Cancun. Not that they don't have crime too but more touristy. My friend is looking also and I would love to do this at the same time.

I'm so ready to start this journey. I found a Dr in NC that can do the surgery for around $13,500 once all is said and done. But the price in MX is more in line with what I could actually "afford". Very hard to make the decision to go to another country to do this.
