wow...just...wow. you look so happy! simply beautiful!

I know for me it depends on the day. Some days, I am hungry and I eat all day. I can get down quite a bit, especially if I really chew up my food! No matter what, I've learned that in the end it is still up to you. You will have to push that plate away, you will have to say no to certain things. The surgery helps with that, but like they say, "its a tool" they gave us a smaller stomach but it's still in the same person. Just keep on going, and hey! you did great...you made yourself avoid eating another thing. That's control! Kudos!

I love all of these.. I would have to say that I have a long list.. I'm not going to name them all but here are a few..
Be able to run and chase my kids, show my son how to play football and my daighter gymnastics
Show my kids a good healthy way of living
Cross my legs the way a girl is supposed to
Wear skirts
Like clothes shopping because I am no longer confined to the "Big Girl" section of stores
Have kinky sex with my boyfriend
Wear a bathing suit and not feel like everyone is staring at me
To be considered a hot girl, not a girl that her personality is what makes her hot
Feel comfortable in my own skin
All kinds of Water sports (paddle boarding, Water skiing, jet ski, banana boat rides)
Zip line the canyons in Las Vegas
Take more pictures with my family
And most importantly.. I want to LOVE all of me!

I just want to be average, I want to blend in and not stand out for my weight. I want to not be hated and mocked on sight because I'm fat. I want to be taken seriously instead of immediately dismissed because I'm not slim. I don't want to be considered worthless anymore.
In my wildest dreams, I just want somebody to love and to love me, but a lifetime of fat shaming and fat phobia has me convinced that no one will ever love me. (Whoo, that was emo, apologies. I'm sure someone will love me eventually.)

Seeing all these things have made me realize just how big my list really is. I want to be able to go shopping with my best friend w/o getting tired. I want to be able to go places with my husband without having to worry about wether the seating will accommodate me. I want to be able to go the my God sons ball games without having to worry about wether ill be able to make the walk to stands. I want to shop in an actual store and not online bc I'm too self conscious for a store. I want to be able to walk my dog. I want to cross my legs while sitting in a chair with arms that i usually wouldn't even fit in. I want to go to the beach and be able to make it to the Water w/o a struggle. I want to wear shorts in public for the first time in years. I want to put on my first pair of hight heels and strut my stuff. This is just the tip of the ice burg and I've always been to embarrassed to say these things. Thanks for giving me a safe place to talk about it.

It seems that most of us have some of the same dreams. I have a few things that I dream about and cant wait to see the dreams come alive. 1. Cross my legs and feel sexy doing it. 2. Where high heel shoes 3. Go to Great America and ride the rides 4. Go shopping in stores that do not carry a 2x or 3x in it. 5. Enjoy sex again 6. Dance without my knees hurting 7. Feel comfortable in a airplane seat 8. Feel comfortable sitting in chairs with arms. 9. Wear shorts and short dresses 10. Last but not least to like clothes shopping again. :D

My doc's nurse told me to wait for 6 weeks...but she told me that at my 2 week postop appt. I said, Ummmm...y'all might really want to tell folks that BEFORE they leave the hospital & not after they've been home for 2 weeks already. Just sayin'!

Surprisingly well! I've lost 35lbs since surgery (45 since preop diet). I've been cleared for all exercise and food. I try certain things here and there, but completely stay away from bread/rice/pasta. I get my Water and Protein in no problem, I usually eat all my Protein, with the occasional shake if I'm out and about. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself and my kids!

Thank you, Patty! I was seriously feelign so alone and then I found this site a few weeks ago and have been reading everything i possibly can on VSG and you guys are seriously just making me at ease with this process just by being so welcoming. Thank you

I promise. This was literally the most terrifying part of this process for me, and now I only have 5 days to go, of 17. You all can do it. This is from a guy who weighed 375 lbs. it doesn't even take a ton of willpower if you get enough Protein in...
It is doable. Ie been out to eat with family, gone to a potluck, and picnic... You can do it. Yes, I want it to be over, I just wanted to encourage you all!

Yes I did and its kind of hard to keep only on liquids, but I spoke to my surgeon yesterday and they said its fine to have to Protein shakes and a salad with chicken at night so that is muchhhhh better
