October 15th is my date. 2 week liquid only starts on Monday !!!!

Hi everyone. New here but I am scheduled for October 15th in Philadelphia. My surgeon is Dr. Dallal at Einstein Bariatrics.

I'm right there with ya girl! Today was my day 1 of liquid diet. Protein Shakes, broth, Jello, sugar-free popsicles, and Water. I did this once before for 4 days to see what it was like. The worst is the first 2 days. It's all about getting in tune with your mind and body. When I did it the first time it was really getting my head into this, my body adapted quickly and I was able to realize when I was and wasn't truly hungry. It was more my mind going "YOU CRAZY PSYCHO FEED ME!" lol Message me anytime

Oh ya day 1 is always the hardest I know but I dont think there is anyone that can honestly say their ready for 14 days with no food with a regular stomach...im doing.it, so no reconsidering not is even in the thought. I figure I can cry baby the.first few days lol but that it.would be better.by day 3....thanks for the.encouragement.

I can't imagine having a dinner at work during the pre-op! My advice for the remainder of the pre-op is to stay busy! It's not easy but does get easier after the 3rd day (and, yes, I thought people were not being exactly honest about that when I was on my 2 week pre-op...but it was true!)

I give respect to any and all that do a pre surgery liquid diet. I was one of the lucky ones that didnt have to do one.

It gets better I promise!! I'm on day 6 of my 2 week pre-op diet and the first 3 days were rough!! By day 4 I wasn't starving anymore!! Good luck!!!

My preschool students not asking me when The baby in my tummy is coming out !!!! Or telling me I should be Mrs.Clause because I'm big like her .
But mostly to feel beautiful and comfortable around my husband , even though I know he loves me anyways

Good for you. I may ban food in my office for the week when I start to fast. Lol. Good luck. I'm trying to start preparing myself mentally. So today only Breakfast and lunch and one shake. Tomorrow just breakfast. We will see how it goes.

Thanks! It really is gonna be a challenge considering my husband eats what he wants and is of course pretty fit! But he said he will try to start eating better with me so that helps!

Ready or not here it is! I refuse to fail ! Definitely going to take measurements today and right before. My starting weight is 275 now. The scale at work said 273 but the dr offices said 275 so ill go by that! hoping ill be 260 by surgery date!

Glad to know others are so open and have good responses also...this is by no means.the easy way out even my surgeon said it was the hardest way out...people dont realize what you go through only you. But im glad ive been really open about mine and anyone that thinks negatively about it really doesnt care about me or my health and shouldnt be a part of my life if they think that way is how I see it.

I've struggled with PCOS since my pre teens & 10 months after surgery and 80+ lbs lost...vola!!!
I'm due April 26th! I can't believe how easily it happen! It took us 13 months & fertility treatments to conceive my son in 2011.
So happy!! = )

Ive been very open about my surgery and havent had anyone say anything negatively to me in any way! everyone in my life has seemed to be really supportive. And happy for me, anyone else open and feel good about it? I feel no shame or regrets or any doubt in my mind that this is what I want to do, and that im doing this for me.
