  1. I was sleeved August 7th also! I'm feeling good better than expected. How in the world were you able to get insurance approved so quickly? Did you not have to see a nutritionist and psychologist?
  2. Has anyone created a YouTube video to document their journey? If so what made you decide to document. I am thinking about it but I'm not really open with everyone.
  3. There are issues with the iPhone app too I get the black blank screen too. I have to delete the app and redownload the app.

  6. My doctor said the first 2 weeks we are at risk. I asked him about developing scar tissue over the staples and he said that would be good. It's our body's way of reinforcing everything like brick and mortar. .
  7. Hello all North Carolinians! My surgery Went very well! I had it on Wednesday August 7. I feel great just home relaxing and watching lots of tv trying to get in these liquids. So happy I did this and I can't believe it's over! Congrats to everyone. Dr Carl Lowe is absolutely amazing!
  8. I am 2 days post op too and I'm having the exact same thing! Everything burns going down and I'm am very gassy. I'm hoping it goes away soon. I'm afraid I'm not getting enough liquids and don't want to be dehydrated. Please keep us updated. I'll say a prayer for us. It's gotta get better.
  9. Thank you all. I just started drinking a protein shake and its going down better. I really think its just gas. I get paranoid about dehydration. But I'm just going to sip sip sip all day and pray the pain (gas) away.
  10. I am one day post op and it hurts for me to drink anything. It feels like its burning on the way down and then I immediately get the urge to burp. Is this common? I read a lot about staying hydrated. Does this go away? Any recommendations? I've only had one bottle of water in 24 hours since I've been home and no IV.

  17. Hey everyone. I'm on day 3 of liquids for my pre-op and I usually workout and run with a group of friends. Is it safe to continue to workout and run? We were supposed to run 4 miles this morning. They don't know what's going on and I don't plan to tell them.

  19. I'm an August 7 sleever too. How is your liquid diet coming along? This is torture. I have been thinking ok do I really need this? I'm not THAT fat. I want to eat! I know if I just get through these 2 weeks ill be fine.
  20. I'm on my liquid diet and my husband is eating BBQ ribs right now!! Ugh!!
  21. I thought you could only have a leak up to 2 weeks. Hmmm I'm curious too and pray you don't have one. How is your weight loss?
