When will I feel normal again. I had a smooth surgery July 29th. I had some scar tissue that was stuck to a lot and they removed a bunch but nothing really hurts horrible except drinking. I can barely get in 25 oz of Fluid. And that was only today... I had half cup of skim milk and half a cup of my Premier Protein drink and that's it for Protein. Its so heavy on my tummy. Along with my liquid hydrocodone. And I CANNOT take my liquid stool softener it makes my throat burn and I start bawling.
I feel totally run down and I cry every night. I heard after the first week is so much better but I am terrified I'm not getting enough of anything in. I love ice chips and sf Popsicles but I'm only supposed to have 1 sf Popsicle a day... I'm so weak and tired but afraid to take naps because I don't wanna miss drinking fluids..
Please someone who has been this way I need to know this is going to pass. I can't cry anymore my 10 yr old is so worried about me

Yay for family!!! I think that is great even if its to go for walks or help you clean... My mom 2 sisters and hubby came for my surgery and I love having them. I have a huge family and love to hear when families are very supportive. I hope you have a great surgery and recovery and enjoy your family time

I would think that it'd be fine in the liquids stage, as long as you are adding it to a Protein Shake. It would be reconstituted in whatever liquid you are using (milk, Water, whatever) and become part of the liquid.< /p>
PB2 is a brand, when you are looking for it. I have that and another brand Just Great Stuff..and there is no difference in taste IMO. I found it locally in a health food store. Fair warning...it's not cheap. I think I spent like $8 for a jar, but it lasts a long time when you use it a tablespoon or two at a time. You can find it at netrition.com and Amazon.com, if you are willing to pay shipping. For me, what I'd have saved in the price of the product would have been spent in shipping so it was a wash.

My surgery is Monday also. I have to be there at 6 am. They are doing the endoscopy right before the surgery. Praying everything looks fine. Dr says he does it all the time! I go home Tuesday I am so excited!! Good luck fellow sleevers!!!

This has not been easy at all, but I have noticed I'm breathing a lot better. Today I'm very nauseated,and bunch of stomach cramps but the journey of the pre op is over and in the morn my new life begins. Nervous but ready .

Take a giant deep breath..... hold it..... let it out...... RELAX !! Repeat as needed.

Sounds fun not really. I have lost 11lbs on my pre op. I just have to stop drinking by midnight tomorrow!
I too haven't been very pleasant to deal with and I have found I am cold more than before...
I hope everything turns out amazing for you and you have a quick recovery!!!

You can do it!! Everyone has those last minute jitters right before surgery, I'll admit I had them up until I went to sleep. I started crying as they wheeled me back for surgery, BUT I would not change what I did or how it has changed my life in just the short few weeks its been since surgery. Just remember you are doing this for you!! Good luck

That is a fabulous question. food got me fat... But sometimes I feel like it got me thru some super rough times.. But still not a friend. I have now found that talking to my best friend works the same as shoving food in my mouth
I have so much support. Here, my family, my friends... Some say you aren't that big you don't need it... I say you don't know how unhealthy I am and how I look in the mirror disgusts me...
I know I am doing this for ALL the right reasons. I have had 5 other surgeries one HUGE one that I did well from.

I am unsure about my goal because I have always been large and was about 175 in high school. Over 200 after 20 years old. When the chart says my high healthy BMI is around 140, I just think its impossible. I just want to set a realistic goal. I am 242 now. Anything below 175 would be super amazing. I am afraid of being obsessed with a hitting a number that is so low. Probably haven't been 140 since I was 12. LOL

I feel the same way about July 30th.

So it's been just over a yr since I had my sleeve done and it's definitely been the best thing I ever did. I followed the diet as directed and ate what I was suppose to do. I did exercise but could have done more an even though I'm still 30 lbs from my goal I feel that even if I don't lose another 30 lbs I still feel like it was worth it. I have lost 154lbs total as of today an I feel great! Very little loose skin and with some more sit ups and cardio I can and will tone but all in all just overall healthier. No more meds for diabetes or blood pressure. Just high Protein living. ;o) Wishing everyone well on their journey to living healthier!"

Thank you. I really don't like confrontation and noticed that people started being rude. My dad and step mom are very christian and they pray with me and for me. I believe everyone is here to help and it is easy for me to read the kind words and love and support even if people say or speak through god. Each of you have been amazing.
Just please stop attacking each other over things that only I should be sifting through. I appreciate every comment and all the support. Thank you all again. Yes this is a hard story to tell but it is part of me. Part of who I am now. To not share to not talk about it openly only means I am keeping it all inside.
Thank you for giving me a place to speak of my Jonny and the road I am traveling. I know that Jonny is watching over me everyday and that I need this surgery to be with my 2 older boys longer.
