    August sleevers progress

Highest weight: 303 Weight after pre-op diet/date of surgery 8/27: 280 Current weight: 259 If you are having trouble getting in Protein try mixing a bottle of Isopure with 1 quart of Water and a large packet of crystal light. I drink that all day and it gives me 40g protein and 64 oz. of water. I am still having a hard time finding a Protein shake that I like, but this helps me a little.

    Hello

I am scheduled for August 27th and I can't wait! Working my way through my appointments. Sleep study and psych eval down, little by little I will get it all done. Currently at 293 and I am 5'8". Ouch...hard to type that!
  3. Thanks for the feedback everyone! This weeks goal is to get in enough water. So far so good. Trying to figure out a good goal for next week!
  4. Susie, that is such a simple idea...and so great. I think maybe I am overwhelmed by the thought of it and reading all of the information. I will start small and it will be more manageable. It is just so strange to me that this is my reaction. I know that I am ready to change, yet I am behaving this way. Your suggestion will help me feel more in control. Thanks for your response!
  5. I am new here and I am scheduled for surgery on august 27th. Since I got approved, I am feeling somewhat out of control as far as food goes. I am trying to figure out what is going on with me. It is almost like I am trying to frantically eat all the foods I know that I shouldn't and won't be able to eat after surgery. But, I am very worried that if I am this out of control now...will I be able to reign it in for pre and post op??!! Is this normal...anyone else?
  6. After attending an information session, I went to my first consultation with the surgeon. I was prepared for a 6-month supervised diet, but got a surprise call from the office. The insurance coordinator told me that my plan did not require a 6-month supervised diet and that I had been approved. She helped me choose a surgery date in August! I am having a hard time comprehending this, I haven't had any testing done yet, my first nutrition consult and sleep study are scheduled for next week. I am afraid to get too excited, but am hoping this is real. Has anyone else had this experience? My big concern...I hate doctors and do not have adequate medical history or obesity, simply due to my refusal to go for my checkups. Should I get excited? Oh...and I am SO impatient! I am waiting for the letter from my insurance company and obsessing in the meantime!
