Love this...all of these women weigh the same weight...even though we KNOW this intuitively, it is a nice reminder that we shouldn't be a slave to the actual number that the scale says because it means very little.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he is watching over you today. Keep us posted.

I will be getting my Ekg,Lab,and chest x ray this morning. I'm so nervous. My surgery will be this Friday. I would like to share a personal story. I feel very calm that my surgery will come out fine. My husband passed away 1 yr ago and for some reason I feel his presence besides me all the time. I know he won't let me down. And in God's power I will make it through. I'm just asking for a prayer to safe revovery. Thanks for the support.- Vanessa :-) :')

My surgery went great! I have no gas and very little pain. I'm just very tired but that's ok I'm getting plenty of rest.

Please do not chicken out! I had my surgery 1 year ago today and I have lost 125 lbs and over 96 inches off of my body! I promise you a year will fly by and this will be you posting this for someone else to read! Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress! (((Hugs))) and prayers for tomorrow!

Have to agree that's its not the cookie that's the issue - it's the way you felt before and after you ate it.
I still struggle with wanting more than I need -esp. junky foods. I prevent an ongoing backslide by getting back on my clean eating program. An occasional treat is OK, but they cannot be the norm. And, IMO, it's crucial to keep treats at a minimum till you get to goal.
Be kind to yourself. What would you say to a friend in your shoes? Then say that to yourself.
Yesterday, I really wanted junk after dinner. I had two cups of tea instead. And I pictured the snack isle in the store. Plenty of Snacks, and they are not going to run out. I can have some later! I do not need to have them now.

Buyers remorse after nearly three months of doing something or buying say a car you always ask self why. Well I'm nearly three years removed from my surgery and have lost 180 pounds and love life. Did it suck the first few months hell yeah it did I couldn't have a beer or pizza. Two things I never had since. Not to belittle feelings but remember you wanted to surprise someone and went to buy a new big screen tv and stand. When you got home you were so pissed at how hard it was to put together and wire all the wires correctly. BUT when done and while you were sitting there on couch one by one your family walked in saying wow this is awesome you admit all the hardships involved were gone and a sense of pride filled your head. Relate this to your surgery and think how great YOU will feel and then hearing all the praise from everyone else it's worth it. Toughen up its going to get better. Remember it took up 20 to 40 years to become obese what's another 2 to become "normal"
