No question the my biggest worry about flying for my surgery was the follow up issue if there was a major problem. Fortunately there was nothing that could not be handled over the phone.

I agree. I have a hard time reconcilling the clothes i am wearing with my perception of myself. i keep thinking the clothes must have 'relaxed' or streched or something because i cannot see myself as anything but large. However when i was at my heaviest i was like you and saw myself as much smaller than i was. amazing how a picture reveals so much more than a mirror.

Right now my I am struggling more with my perception than with food. who would have thought? I feel like my brain is 40 pounds behind reality and cannot catch up. I am at a lower weight than i have been in 30 years, yet dont feel all that much smaller.

I wanted the flex but they were out of it, so I got the 'one' and it is all i wanted. it is a bit easier to wear a bracelet but they are hard to find.

there is no cost after you purchase it is all free apps. I was very pleased with the first nights reading and surprisingly acurate as to when i got up to pee. the wake functionis great a very subtle vibration when you are in light sleep, it avoids deep sleep.

dont know about swiming with it, i dont swim so i did not look.

Still no hunger! wonderful news. Perhaps I will get that too.

Thanks for the feedback. Percocet works very well for my dental pain but I expect taking pills that first day might be a challenge. However I do well with IM demerol and I will let them know.

thanks for the encouragement. However, I dont think i have met an Rn that is a wimp. several who thought they were

excellent summary. I am three weeks away from surgery and getting increasingly excited. when you said 'no bowel sounds' my attention perked up for that is not a trivial thing. good that it worked itself out.

I can actually request any food I want. just the issue of allowing 35 business acquaintances into my private life. Perhaps by then I will be over keeping it private.

thanks for the help. it is unfortunately a limited buffet in a board room ergo no soup, but mashed potatoes is a good idea. I like the late lunch idea also. perhaps I will show up 15 minutes late when the eating is usually over and the meeting starts.
