I lost a bit of weight a few years ago and then gained it all back...
But I kept all the cute clothes I bought and soon I will be able to shop from my own closet!!
I'm serious! Some of these things still have tags on them as they were my "inspirational outfit"
I can't wait to fit into them and then to donate them to the woman's shelter because they will be too big!!

Just got the call! August 5 baby!! Looks like there are a few of us with the same date! Cheers to the beginning of our new lives!

So far so good! Everyone has been so supportive! I've told my two BFFs, my parents and one set of inlaws! I'm so proud of myself and I feel so loved that they are on my side!
It definitely gives me the confidence I will need later when I get asked how I'm losing weight by outsiders.

Well! One set of in laws down and two BFFs and so far so good! I think they are all a little worried because of horror stories they heard from so and so cousins friends aunt. But they listened and asked questions and everything went well.
Lol. Though, I really thought I was going to throw up right before I told my mother in law. She loves me dearly though and is already very supportive!! Thank goodness!!

I have been using Mederma and have definitely noticed some lightening even with intermittent use (I always forget to use it bc I'm afraid the ointment will bleed thru my clothes).

you are very welcome! i love free stuff and this can get costly... i just spent like 30 bucks at Walmart and got 3 things and totally felt like WTF i just got that??????

There is a sticky that was started for free samples too. I think I'm the only one to post in it so far but it would be nice too keep these all in one place.

I am new to the forum but as I look over new and old posts, I often see people post companies that offer either free or inexpensive samples Vitamins. I think it would be nice to have a place where they are all listed.

7 years of infertility here. I'm getting the surgery and hoping that will help me get pregnant.
Here's my opinion. Get the surgery ASAP because you never know if losing the weight will make you more fertile or not. If it does then great! If it doesn't, then at least you are losing weight and looking and feeling better.
I had to choose the VSG over IVF. I did this for the reason above. IVF might not work either, then what am I left with? Nothing. At least the VSG gives back.

Please, have the surgery, learn to work your sleeve and then get pregnant. I am an old Mom - menopause and the teenage years together anyone? I was 31 when I had my 1st and 33 when I had my second. Women are waiting longer these days and it's possible!!

I was 29 when I had WLS and we chose to have another child...well, exactly a year ago! I got pregnant on 5 July 2013, so when I was 31 years old.
Honestly, unless you have a very good reason to believe your fertility is in some way compromised try to relax and focus on learning the sleeve and your new life first.
I was one of the youngest women at our clinic (we did suffer from infertility, almost entirely due to male factor, though) and even when I was getting regular 'ole prenatal care I was still one of the youngest ladies each time. Women are waiting longer and longer to have children - my peer group (should I say our peer group, because I'm only a few years older than you) is just now starting to have kids.
If you have PCOS, losing weight is definitely going to help with insulin resistance and with regulating your hormones. Focus on one hurdle at a time - you're definitely not too old to have children!

I had my surgery at 30. 31 now and 5mos preg w twins

I'm kinda on the fast track though since I'm self pay, no waiting on insurance to go through and no hoops to jump through. It took us 5years to save up for this and it feels so close and so far away at the same time.
