I'm at 55 minutes on the elliptical which exceeded my march goal of 50. I'm lifting 40-60 minutes 4-6 days every week. I can't believe I'm even able to do any of this!!!!

I've been hitting up the treadmill and going to zumba and spin.
Working out with my trainer tomorrow and going a 5k Saturday. Add in a couple more gym sessions and I could actually make my goal this month : )

I spent most of this week working in the house and not in the gym. I need to remember to take time for myself and workout.

I'm so proud of myself and I got in 47 minutes on the elliptical and lifted after. Baby steps lol

Hope you don't mind but I've done my next weigh in today - I'm off skiing in Austria later on so won't be able to check in on Monday!
Today I weighed in at 157. I can't believe I've had such a massive drop after it being so slow for weeks, but I'm not complaining!
It also takes me out I an obese bmi and into just (!!) overweight . Today is a good day'

182.6 this week
I've been bouncing around 183 for what feels like forever. I hope I can break this stall soon because it's driving me bonkers.

HumorMe00 got a reaction from spangebabe in 5 weeks Post op and suffering terrible panic/anxiety attacks daily
I don't have anxiety but my depression definitely got worse after surgery. Around the 6-8 week mark things started to get back to normal. At 6 months out, I'm still not as balanced as I use to be, but it's nothing that stands in the way of everyday life. Psych has altered my meds a couple of times to no avail.
Physical activity seems to help me a lot - it might help with anxiety too. I also see a therapist once every 2 weeks.

This past week has been pretty awesome.
My birthday happened to be my 6th month surgiversary. My lovely wife has planned us a trip to NYC for a birthday present. She didn't book it until after the reveal, just to make sure I was ok with it. Heck yeah I'm ok with it.
Thanks to my sleeve:
I've lost 74lbs.
I'm not apprehensive about flying. We're even flying Southwest w/o preselecting seats. I would never have done that in the past.
We're going to see a broadway show and a Rangers game and I'm not stressed about fitting in the seats.
We're going to a couple if museums and I'm not worried about all the walking.
And I went to get some new clothes because change of seasons plus a trip = I want clothes that fit. I'm a size 14! Not a 14w, but a 14. In Levi's, at the Gap, at Macy's...I am amazed. Just last month I was getting clothes for a funeral and I was wearing an 18 or 14/16w.
Most of all, my self-confidence is making a comeback. I didn't realize how low it had gotten over the years.

Upped my time with my trainer from 30min to an hour yesterday. Wow. Huge difference in how I felt leaving the gym. After 10 million leg exercises yesterday, I was sure I'd be super sore today and hobbling around. Woke up this morning and felt totally normal.
Exercising regularly is awesome.

My goal for March is 20 hours of exercise. Super excited to have signed up for my first ever 5k- March 29th! I'll be walking it with some friends (one has knee issues) but hoping to be far enough along in my training that I could run 3/4 of it if I chose.
Goal status: 2.5/20
