  2. I missed this one!! I didn't think there was another one and I haven't been on for a little while so I want to make sure I do the next one!! So mad at myself!! On the good size of it all I have now lost 100 pounds!!
  3. You look absolutely fantastic!! If you were in a group of people you would blend in totally as a normal size person with a fantastic figure! Great job!! I do understand your plight however because I am the same way. I have now lost 100 pounds and when I see myself in pictures I just don't see the new me. It drives me absolutely crazy!!
  4. Hang in there! My weight loss amount went down after 6 months but I am still losing a pound a week. At this point you really have to make good choices and cut out as many carbs as possible. They are a weight loss killer! Also make sure you are getting in 1 or 2 days of exercise. This will help also. But your loss should continue as long as you do these things. You got this!
  5. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Was 199 Now 198 Made my goal!! Are you doing another one after this?

  11. Beginning weight is 203 Ending Goal 198 I freakin hope this ends up finding me in onderland!!!
  12. You can do it!! This is what I called the practice run for after the surgery. It strengthens you and gives you a good picture of your post op recovery time. You absolutely do get stronger in your resolve but it is tough in the beginning. Once that weight starts dropping you get stronger and stronger and the anguish drops off. It does creep up every once in awhile but your inner resolve will stop it down. Best of wishes to you!!
  13. I said absolutely nothing. When people started noticing a difference (40 pounds lighter) and I felt comfortable I let them know what I did without having to feel embarrassed or trying to keep up with any untruths that I might of said early on. Just don't say anything and when you are comfortable with it you can let them know more. You don't owe anyone an explanation about your choices. Once you have lost some weight your confidence grows and you will be able to talk about it. It is done and your are proving what you did was the best thing for yourself.
  14. The sun is getting stronger and soon it will be time to get a tan!! Flip flops are the main attire around here!
  15. Made Goal! Wish the weight was coming off faster but at least it is coming off................Onederland you are in my sights!! Was 204 Now 203
  16. Thank you for the update. It is good to hear that you are starting to put your life back together and I wish you the very best as you grow stronger.
  17. What you are going through is totally normal! The fact that you can't smoke only makes is worse but hang in there it does get easier..........I promise!! Treat yourself to some Panera Broccoli and Cheese soup. It was my saving grace! You can't eat the broccoli yet but the rest of it is absolutely amazing!!
  18. You should try Premier Protein shakes. You get 30g of protein 160 calories and almost no sugar or fat. They also taste really good. I almost 8 months post op and can still drink them. They are awesome in coffee!! You can get them at Sam's, Costco, BJ's and recently I saw them in 4 packs at Walmart. My surgeon was very happy with my choice. Best of luck to you!!
  19. I am definitely in! This has been such a huge help to me!! Thanks Bea!!
  20. Last week 205 This Week 204 Slowly but surely I will get to onederland!
  21. LOL I ran around in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops today and completely comfortable!!
  22. Wow, that site is great! Thanks for putting that together. Definitely helpful for those of us who don't have insurance (or like me who don't want to go through all the BS associated with the approval process). Looks like Texas has the lowest cost. Wish it wasn't so darn far away. This is a great site but you need to add Dr. Kahlil Shillingford in Boca Raton, FL he is completely all inclusive there are no extra fees and he is $10,500. Cheaper than the others listed and an awesome surgeon. I did a full extensive check on him and he has nothing against him only good revues.
  23. Happy weekend everyone!! Was 206 Now 205 Down 1 pound..........I'll take it!!
  24. The thing is Id love to cheat for let's say even a day.. I miss drinking soda, used to drink diet soft drinks all the time.. And have not touched a drop since pre-op I'm sick of Snapple, and Water.. Can't seem to find a satisfying replacement ... I of course knew the long term commitment here but I guess I've got the 7 month itch.. Getting bored of everything and nothing all the same. The awful weather isn't helping.. I don't know what else to make to switch it up.. Try drinking some brewed ice tea with lemon. It's not anything like Snapple which I got sick of pretty quick. I wouldn't suggest giving yourself a treat right now because you seem kind of vulnerable at the moment. If you fell off the diet wagon you might keep going for a week or so before you pulled yourself together. When you feel stronger and know you can go back to your eating routine then you might partake in a special day. Try this website for some new food ideas www.theoworldaccordingtoeggface.com and see if that will help you with some new ideas. I really do think it is a 7 month itch and we just have to get past it. You might also try some fruit infused water.....google it. I really can't help but think if we can get past this point it will make us stronger and more resolved in our life change. I expect that this will happen to us from time to time at least we know what it is and hopefully can deal with it.
  25. I am 7 months post op and I totally understand your frustration right now. I think we go through periods of this and it must be totally normal. Think about the times you have been on a diet and did well only to get frustrated, give up and gain it back. Well this is no different except it is much more permanent with the potential to gain it back if you cheat the sleeve. You must fight this frustration and overcome it. Each time you do this you will get stronger and more confident with your new life. Change up some recipes, go to a grocery store like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods they are fun to go to and you can really find some new foods that will work for you. Buy yourself a new outfit to celebrate that beautiful new figure you are sporting. Remember you are doing terrific and we are here to support you! I am fighting the good fight also. Don't let the losing weight slower get to you it is still coming off and you look fantastic!!
