  1. Absolutely amazing!! You have had great success so far and it is showing!!
  2. Eggs seem to have a problem settling in a new sleeve. If you ate it fast you will definitely have some discomfort as well. Wait a few days and try again it will probably be much better!
  3. Well if it is healed I would say soap and water. That is all I ever used.
  4. So I went into work today to get my office ready for the first day of school next Monday. When I was done I went shopping to pick up some new clothes that fit. My daughter who teaches at the school called me and said that a friend of mine had the sleeve surgery this summer and is telling everyone. Now I didn't say anything to her nor her to me! LOL We could have been support for each other and we still can. However, I wasn't wanting to tell people. I know it is a matter of time before people ask because I will be losing weight similiar to her and they know she had wls. I really wanted this to be private because I don't like attention on me but I can't omit this when she is openly telling people. Or can I? Advise please!
  5. Oh my goodness!! You have a life long story to tell there!! I am so glad that you recovered so well! That is scary stuff !! Please keep us posted!!
  6. No worries!! The thing to do is get up tomorrow like any other day and begin anew! On this journey we are going to make mistakes and drop our resolve. The key is to continue on your healthy pattern and don't look back!! Just move forward.....You got this!!
  7. This looks wonderful and I will give it a try!!
  8. I live on the beach and have a daughter that is a competitive surfer and instructor. Guess who her next student is going to be!! That's right me!! I have sat on the beach and watched her for years yearning to do it myself. By next summer I plan on getting out there and surfing with her!! Can't wait!!
  9. The only carbs I get are from the good foods. I avoid all other carbs. It was to hard to detox from the darn things and I just don't want to get hooked on them again. I know there will be a point when I have to add some back but they will be carefully chosen.
  10. No worries!! I had a restaurant bucket list!! I hit every one of them too and Ididn't regret it at all! I was saying goodbye to all of my favorite restaurants and the ability to eat the way I always have. It allowed me to accept my new life and get ready for what was to come. A new healthy eating pattern that I have accepted and have no troubles with today. It is a process that you have to go through and you will do just fine when it is time to start the liquid diet and adjust after surgery. You will go through the head hunger we all do but because you said goodbye to your past it will go easier. I wish you the best on your journey to a healthy new life!
  11. Just make sure you eat salads with protein if it is your main item for the meal and eat all the protein if you can! I love salad and eat it often but it always has lots of protein in it. Mainly chicken like yours today! Enjoy!
  12. Why so many weeks? Just think though when you get that thing out and begin your sleeved life it will all be worth it!! I feel so bad for all of you that have gone through the hell of that thing. I can't imagine having to do that many weeks of a liquid diet. On the other hand I couldn't imagine living with the band and all the trouble it has caused people. Hang in there and just think about the new life after it is gone. Don't beat yourself up over the slip just get up in the morning and start over again. Each day is a new chance to do better!! I hope your weeks go by quickly and I wish you the best!!
  13. Can't say that I have! I am trying to stay away from mindless carbs. I do brush my teeth several times a day because of that horrible taste that seems to plague me!
  14. Glad to hear your sleeve is doing great! Once you have that surgery you will feel like a new woman! Omneprazole was my savior until I had the surgery! I was on my way to the hospital for the 2nd severe attack and took this because the hospital gave it to me for the first attack and before I got there it kicked in and I went home! Best stuff ever!!
  15. My surgery was in Boca Raton with Dr. Shillingford he is all inclusive with 2 days in the hospital and he charges $10,500. Fantastic surgeon!! Good luck on your search!!
  16. I am afraid to do it. So if you do let us know how it came out!
  17. Congratulation on your success!! Yes God is awesome and I give him all the glory!
  18. I run the attendance office in a high school and deal with a lot of family issues including truancies etc. I am also a trained medical assistant and cover the nurses office at the school as well. My surgery was 6/7/13 and have had no complications and enjoying my sleeve.
  19. Enjoy a suger free one!!
  20. Please go to another doctor! There has to be someone you can go too!!
  21. Yes! I take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. But you should check with your doctor. It makes a world of difference!
  22. Great!! I hope this does it for you!!
  23. Well now I am hungry for crab legs!! The good part is it's sleeve friendly!! So I am going to steal 920amy's directions and fix some tomorrow night!!
  24. It's an easier surgery than the sleeve. Hang in there.......the relief is worth the surgery. I had mine removed a couple of years before my sleeve. Wish you the best of recoveries!!
  25. Congratulations on your sleeve!! So glad everything is going well!
