  2. I am 5'10". My surgeon says goal is 100 lbs for 5 feet then 5 pounds for every inch above that so they have my goal set at 150. Realistically I am hoping for 165.
  3. I can eat about 3 ounces...2 months out..
  4. I get the turkey hill tea at my local grocery store which is Landis, but Giant carries it also.

  6. I am not quite 2 months out and had a hot dog yesterday. I couldn't eat the whole thing but also had a few bites of baked beans. No bun with it.
  7. Funny, I found the crystal light too sweet also, although now I drink a lot of the lemonade. I found a diet decaf orange tea that I really like so drink a lot of that. It's made by turkey hill but I think that is local here in pa.
  8. I was told to just worry about getting the liquids in and not worry about the protein yet. When i was on full liquids (shakes) then I had to count protein.
  9. I know someone who used them and she was happy. Sorry you are having problems. Good luck.

  14. Tomorrow we leave for alaska and will be going on our first cruise. This is my dream vacation! When I told people I was having this surgery some thought I was crazy for doing it before we went. They said " you won't be able to eat on the cruise!" My reply was that I just want to be more comfortable and hoped to lose 25 or 30 pounds before we leave. I am 7 weeks out and as of this morning am down 38 pounds! I had lost over 30 in about 3 weeks, including preop. Then a 2 1/2 week stall. Now am losing a little again. My plan is to be the only person who leaves a cruise actually weighing less! Hoping to be in onederland when I get home! So close.
  15. When I tried to stop antidepressants a few years ago I got very dizzy. Weaned off over a month or so and have been fine since.

  17. It's only a few more days. The liquid diet is not as hard after as it is before. Just keep reminding yourself that this is just a few weeks of your life and things will get so much better.
  18. That is great to hear. I leave for vacation on Wednesday and will be 7 weeks out. We are doing an alaska cruise and know I'm going to feel great. I'm looking forward to being more comfortable on the plane and just being active without being out of breath. Glad you had a great time.
  19. My plans was 2 days of clear liquids, 12 days of full liquids like shakes and thin cream of wheat, 14 days of puree, 14 days of soft food. I am just over 6 weeks and now finally eating anything I can tolerate, which has been pretty much anything so far in very small amounts.

  21. I mixed it with fat free mayo and seasonings in the food processor for chicken salad, or I mixed it with a wedge of laughing cow cheese with some hot sauce for a light buffalo chicken. I don't like tuna either and it did smell like tuna but once I mixed it with stuff it was ok
  22. I came out of the hospital 14 pounds higher than I went in! You are swollen and full of fluid. I know exactly how you feel. Within 2 weeks the weight was falling off.
  23. So I'm 5 weeks post op... The first 10 days sucked, then for 3 weeks felt great and lost a bunch of weight, I had all kinds of energy. Now for the past 10 days I feel like I did before surgery. I'm tired all the time, getting headaches again, and stuck at the same weight. I'm getting my liquids and protein, walking every day. I understand that stalls are normal but I didn't expect to go back to feeling crappy again. Is this normal?
