  1. I've decided to treat my stretch marks as badges of honors from where I've come from and where I'm going. I will embrace each and every one of them!
  2. I was sleeved on October 14, 2013, so I'm 3 1/2 weeks post-op. I know I could benefit from having 1 or 2 people who have been there and done that. So HELP! LOL Looking forward to the journey of living a better healthy lifestyle.
  3. Surgery date 10/14/13 SW 384 CW 362 stalled currently for 7 days GW 210
  4. I just started the B12 injection. I went to my PCP to be shown how to correctly administer the injection. I also give myself a weekly injection of testosterone because of my out of whack thyroid, so I don't mind doing a monthly injection of B12; it's better than taking a pill every day.
  5. I'm so frickin frustrated with the stall. It's been 6 days now and I not only stalled, but gained 1 1/2 pounds. I'm a week and a half into the pureed foods stage, and start soft foods this coming week. I had my 2 week post op last Tuesday the 29th and my NUT suggested I use the myfitness app to track my protein and liquid consumption, so I've been logging everything (including water) and found that my protein consumption was lacking, I'm supposed to have 64-80 grams of protein per day and 8 glasses of water a day. I'm walking 3.5 miles a day. Hopefully, this damn stall period is short lived.
  6. Thanks Linda & Denise. I'm hanging in there 4 more days 4 more days. LOL
  7. Does Anyone have any pureed food ideas? I have 4 more days before I transition to soft foods. This pureed thing is the pits!
  8. I had the same thing going on low blood pressure readings, light headiness, and dizziness. I went to my PCP and he took me off both blood pressure meds. I've been monitoring my BP for over a week and it's been perfect no more dizziness, nor light headiness either. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and am totally grateful for my new tool "Sleeveinstine!" Sent from my iPhone using VST
  9. Had my 2wk post op today lost 25lbs since surgery on the 14th of October this brings the total since May to ding ding ding 91 pounds! Man I sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming That I am changing my life. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  10. 'M about to have my 2 wk follow-up. Can anyone give any advice on what I should ask about. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  11. I had a surgery in January of 2011 in which I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia, so I decided a few months before surgery that I would do cardio every day to get myself in the best cardiovascular condition to deal with the anesthesia. I came through the surgery with no complications. Walk walk walk everyday. Start off with 5 mins a day then increase as you improve.
  12. It was tough up to 3 days post op, but it got better each day. Tomorrow Monday 10/27/13 will be 2 weeks post op I'm doing great!
  13. Had an appointment with my PCP to discuss my low blood pressure and its symptoms Well, I HAVE BEEN TAKEN OFF BOTH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATIONS!!!!! Woo Hooooooooooooo.
  14. 11 days post op and I'm struggling to get the required amount of liquid down everyday. I'm doing broth, popsicles, G2, & water. I started the puree stage 2 days ago and the diarrhea kicked in when I consume anything! I'm seeing my PCP tomorrow morning. Any advice folks?
  15. Hey all, I'm 8 days post op and starting stage 6 pureed foods. I'm partnered for 13 years now and we adopted our doggie Jackson in May. Jackson was essential to my pre op weight loss this summer, Jackson and I walked at the beach, around town every single day for miles and miles and the weight just came off. I lost 66 lbs from May to the weigh in the morning of surgery. I am very pleased to have found an LGBT section on this incredible site.
  16. Hello I live in Stamford, CT. I was sleeved on October 14, 2013 with Dr. Marc Bessler. This site has been incredible. I would love to have local support as well.

  20. I'm 1 week to the day post op. I've been feeling great until today: intermittent dizziness & nausea. I feel like I just stepped off one of those standing spinning rides. Ugh!
  21. All the best to you man! We all got you back.
  22. This is good to know. I'm 6 days post op and the edges are starting to curl away from my skin as well.
