In general, how long does it take for the gas pain to go away?

I was hurting for the 1st day after surgery, then it eased off a lot. It was just a feeling of pressure in my chest and shoulder, not really pain in the sense of the word. By day 7 the gas pain was gone completely.

I'm on day 3 and this day is the worse by far.

I woke up hollering because I had severe back pain from gas. At the time I didn't know it was really gas pain. I just new my doc had touched something else.. It's gone!!! I'm 20 days out and 33 lbs down btw... Walk and take gas x...
