  1. I felt more of a release and then the pain was gone. It didn't hurt at all.
  2. MENTAL HUNGER: I am trying to make it to Wednesday. I am not hungry, like AT ALL! But, I have mental hunger. I have a three year old and husband whom I have to cook for. I struggle so bad, not wanting to eat their food, but ready to eat my food! Does that makes sense? This hasn't been an issue until tonight. I get to start the mushy stage on Wednesday and I am ready. Tonight I made my husband chicken salad and it looked amazing. Another thing I have to throw out there is I am always freaked about getting a leak. Do you guys every worry about that? I am doing what I am told but it always feels weird in my mind. Is this normal? I would love some advice from those who have been through the mushy stage. What was your first meal, what worked for you and didn't. I know that we are all different and one thing may work for you that wont for me. I am just curious what your doctor considered mushy. My list shows one thing and when I called they told me another. I am just worried. Lastly, thank you for allowing me to complain and not judging me! I love my husband more than anything but I can't talk to him much about this. I don't think he cares. He cares about my health and me but I think he gets bored with this topic. I don't blame him. A person can only hear the same thing 100 times before they flip. ha!

  4. Thanks! My stitch on the inside dissolved and I no longer have any pain. I finally get to move to mushy foods on Wednesday. I'm so excited!!
  5. It was very nice. They did have to keep me in recovery over night because they did not have rooms. They had people that were supposed to be discharged and ended up staying another night. They have us a $50 Visa card ad Starbucks gift card for having that issue. They bought my husbands dinner and breakfast. They also installed a flat screen into the recovery room. Very clean and nice staff.
  6. How do you feel?? When was your surgery date?
  7. I'm on day 16 and I am finishing all my pain meds at night to sleep well. It also helped me from habit diarrhea. My left incision is still really sore. Every doctor is different and do incisions different. I wanted to share my docs info because it has really helped me.
  8. I hear you! My husbands family is in Ohio and we see them once a year. We are going in August and I'm nervous. I didn't want any of them to know but my husband slipped to his mom and told her. I begged her not to tell anyone. They can be so judgmental. On a different note, this surgery is for you and only you. You did this for your health. You are doing wonderful and remember that. People are always going to judge and say hateful things. I personally think you will be surprised and get positive feedback. Keep us posted!!!
