  1. My doctor told me I could have anything I wanted that would pour through a strainer. Mesh or metal stained. The tiny hole kind. I love cheddar Soup diluted with skim milk. Taste like Mac n cheese.
  2. I just purchased an indoor exercise bike!! Yay I have already gone to the playground but was a little sore so just walked through the main parts of the playground. Loving life!
  3. The pain in my left side is awful! I cried today and almost passed out. It's the worst pain and I've had a c-section. The doctor said its normal and it will go away soon. It's a muscle that feels like its ripping on my side.
  4. I'm June 19th. Thank you for doing this!!!
  5. Hey guys! I am so happy for everyone and I know we have all made this decision to better our quality of life. I had my 2 weeks checkup today. The doctor was very happy with the 28 lbs I have lost since beginning my pre-op diet to now. Surgery was June 19th. I was cleared to swim in the pool and lake. He said that I do not need to soak in the lake or stay longer than an hour. I can get in and sit in a tube or float. He said I can purchase waterproof bandages if I want to overkill it. He said my incisions are completely healed on the inside and outside. I can also take a bath. He said that would help the bandages fall off. I do still have strips on my incisions and I keep cutting them back. He said they would completely fall off within the week. I also have left side pain still. He said that is a stitch in my left incision that is causing the pain. The stitch will dissolve and I may feel a pop and not to worry. I am able to get in my 60g of Protein daily. I was worried because I do not have to sip at all. I can take normal drinks and I feel like I did before surgery without the hunger feelings. It is very odd. He said that is normal and that liquid would not stretch my stomach out. In one week I can move to mushy foods. I am allowed the following foods starting next Wednesday and do this for three weeks: applesauce eggs yogurt cottage cheese thin lunch meat 2% string cheese any ground meat tuna canned chicken cooked veggies bananas I am not limited to just this but if I do anything else it needs to be of the same consistency as these foods. I feel like the list is perfect for three weeks. If any human can make it for three weeks on liquids then this is like thanksgiving dinner!!! LOL After 6 weeks I can have raw veggies and fruit. 6. I had my two week appt today. Doctor was happy with my weight. I feel wonderful! I'm ready for my left side to stop hurting, they said within the week. I was cleared to swim! Yay
  7. I had my two week today. I was cleared to swim! Yay! When you have a three year old swimming comes in handy. They were satisfied with my weight and get to start mushy foods in one week. The PA was not Dr. Nick but she was nice. She was very quick at getting me out and I didn't get to ask the questions I wanted.
  8. Well 28, 203 to 175. In the body shots I was more around 212. I couldn't find any others. I wouldn't allow anyone to take a pic of my body. I didn't take any preop. I'm dumb, should have. I think my nerves took over my brain. But, the head shots before are one week before surgery. I'm only 5'1 so even 10 lbs makes a huge difference!!
  9. I feel so much better today. Left side is much better. Here is me as of today! I can finally see a difference.
  10. I had Dr. Nick. Sleeved June 19th. I am doing great but my left side hurts really bad. I was sleeved at victory in Plano. When I woke up in recovery I was told that multiple people were unable to be discharged so they didn't have a room for me. I had to stay in the recovery room the entire time. They gave us a $50 Visa card and $10 Starbucks card. They installed a tv by night time and brought a wonderful chair down for my husband. I was upset but impressed by their help. 11. I talked to my doctor about this today. Sleeved June 19th. Doctor said that he stitched my left incision to my muscle and it will hurt really bad because the muscle cannot move. He said that its easy to pull that muscle. He said the stitch should dissolve within two to tree weeks. I'm ready for it to!! He also said I may feel a pop when it finally breaks.
  12. I use nectar protein. The lemonade one is great. Its no thicker than water and feels really good. I make mine into Popsicles.
  13. Haven't seen these numbers in over 5 years!!! Amazing!!! Starting weight 203
  14. I have sneezed a bunch!! I start breathing really deep and it helps them go away. Idk lol
  15. Curious, do any of y'all have left side pain? My doctor told me right before he took me back that I would have left side pain for a while because its the biggest incision and it would be stitched down to a muscle. That incision is still sunk in and my side hurts. It's day 11 and I thought it would be over by now. Any one else??
  16. Sleeved the 6/19/13 and my left side is still hurting. I see my doctor on the 3rd for my 2 week check up. He told me right before I went back for surgery that I would have discomfort in my left side for a while and it is normal because its the biggest incision and they stitch it down to my muscle. The stitch should break after a few weeks. That one incision in sunk in. It hurts! I am ready for the stitch to break and my tummy to level out. I think I will call tomorrow to just confirm the pain lasting this long.
  17. I think I'm going to try some fresh ginger in some broth. I had some today at a Thai restaurant and it was soooo good. Isn't is funny how we get a thrill out of different Soups. Lol I never thought I would really do this. I pray we both are very successful and can get healthy!! Where are you from? I'm in Denton, Tx.
  18. Absolutely beautiful!! You go girl!!
  19. So I bought a size 12, just got home and for the heck of it tried it on. The sucker almost fits. Maybe I should have gone with a 10!
  20. Day 10: I've been at the mall all day. I purchased some Thai broth from a food place in the mall and it was awesome!! I also purchased a size 12 dress with hopes of getting into it in mid August for a wedding. I'm a 16/18 now so it's doable! How is everyone? I'm having zero problems drinking. My left side is still sore but I know that's expected until the inside stitch breaks.
  21. I just bought a goal dress at Ross (so I didn't spend much) in hopes of wearing it in August to a wedding. I found a blog where this girl had goal dresses and it motivated her to workout. I'm going to give it a try!!
