  5. I have had ulcerative colitis since I was 15.
  6. I haven't gone #2 yet. I am passing gas a lot. Guess there's nothing in there to make a #2.
  7. Did you guys go home with one of these? When I feel nausea setting in, I use this thing. Really helps me!
  8. My husband bought me lemonade and strawberry nectar Protein. Really good! I don't feel like I'm eating a shake. Highly recommend! I also purchased a bag of ice from sonic and that's good. We made popsicles with the nectar, yummy!! I'm not even counting what I drink, it's stresses me out. If I'm awake, I'm sipping. It's amazing how I'm not hungry at all!! Nausea has gone away, never threw up! I was able to breathe through it. I have to wear compression socks during the day and can take them off at night. Heating pad again is amazing!! I slept 4 hrs last night with it. I didn't take any pain meds today. I purchased a liquid B12 and strawberry chewable gas meds. I've started a million movies and fall asleep! Lol My stomach started making his strange sound during the night. It felt like it was twisting, kind of hurt. Then as soon as I stood up, the bowels started to flow! Lol I've never been so thrilled to toot in my life! Lol Made a big difference. I took a shower on day 3 and I will take another tomorrow. On day 3 I went through a brief moment of asking myself and my husband, "what have I done??". I feel silly for even thinking that. I'm sure it's a natural feeling for everyone. My best friend has left me for life! food was always my friend yet it was trying to kill me. I'm setting goals for myself for the first time!! 1. Play on the playground at least twice a week with my 3 year old! 2. Purchase a bike and start riding as a family. 3. Start painting again. 4. Get off the couch and go outside and play with the dogs. 5. Cook healthy meals for my husband and child so that my daughter is raised eating the correct way. 6. Be happy and love myself. I'm the only one who can make myself happy. NO REGRETS!!!!
  9. Today has been better, day 4. In the night my stomach started making loud noises. I started passing gas which has helped. I'm just really tired.
  10. I am in the same boat. Its hard to get it all in when you aren't even hungry. I have talked in person to 3 friends who have done this. They all say the same thing. Give it two weeks and the swelling will go down and it will be a lot easier. They all say to just keep sipping now and do the best you can. Did you doctor put you on any medications or supplements? I was given liquid pain meds, nausea meds, and acid reflux pills. I wasn't given B12??
  11. Water, I bought vanilla soy milk and enjoy a few Dixie cups of that. I like using Dixie cups because it helps me calculate.
  12. I purchased a whey protein from walmart that has 30g protein, 2g sugar, and 160 calories. I'm ordering better stuff online. What are you using?
  13. This heating pad is amazing! I recommend everyone who is getting this operation to purchase one. Also, I mixed my protein together and made popsicles. Sooo good!!! I didn't feel like I was having to force drink. 2 Popsicles have 30g or protein.
  14. Thanks! Walmart was ok, I went in for a heating pad. I'm home and tools some pain meds and about to take a nap. I haven't passed any gas. I have burped a lot.
  15. I will, just need to walk a little. Im going to drive the scooter and get out when I need something. Going for a heating pad. Water is one of the only things that doesn't bother me.
  16. Day 3 - I am going to be brave and go to walmart. I'm going to purchase a heating pad and a abdominal pad. I was able to drink 4 ounces of soy milk, diluted fruit juice and multiple Dixie cups of water. I don't know what the gargling sound everyone experiences is. I haven't felt that. To future sleevers: You can do this! It is very uncomfortable and sore on your left side. With pain meds and lots of walking everything is getting better.
  17. I'm sending my husband to buy me some when he wakes up.
  18. I'm ok, really sore. Trying to get my liquids in. Thats hard to do.
