  1. Lol Surgery went well, but last night was one of the worst nights of my life. I was going to ask one of the nurses to put me out of misery. I had horrible gas , vomiting, and hiccups all night. My stomach was so soar that I did not sleep at all. But as soon as she took my catheter out and took me to shower it was a miracle how much better I felt. Today truly is a new day! Officially a sleeved!
  2. I was having that issue preop, but when I moved to full liquids I was drinking low sodium v8 with fiber and it totally did the trick!
  3. Get well soon! I am at the airport heading to Tijuana for surgery tomorrow Speedy recovery to you!
  4. Good luck! I'm right behind you! Have to travel tomorrow. You'll do great
  5. I used to love pudding pops, so that would be an awesome treat!
  6. I've booked 12 days off...everyone is so different so I have no idea what would be good...my week back I booked pretty light though, so it should be ok. And then summer is not as busy for me so it should be plenty of time to ease back in. I keep hearing people are so tired after surgery and some for. Long time, and that freaks me out.
  7. Thanks! Keep me posted how the syntrax works out
  8. Any suggestions for good sources of flavorless protein that can be added to any other food?
  9. Freeze these into pudding pops!!!! Yum!
  10. I realize you are just repeating what you were told, so please don't be offended, but I call BS on her doc. I would love to know how he would know that the HCG specifically advanced the cancer when he didn't know she had it in the first place? I know women who had cancer while pregnant, where their docs knew they had cancer at the beginning of their pregnancy and their cancer didn't grow faster during pregnancy with 100X more HCG hormone in their bodies. It seems like another doctor talking about something they don't understand, not to mention, so nice of the doc to make the patient feel like it's all her fault. I lost my first 45 lbs on HCG and I looked fantastic, I wish that docs would just admit they don't know things instead of the know it all accusatory crap I so often hear about. I feel really bad for your friends mom, that's a terrible story, and the HCG is not the villain in it.
  11. I was wondering the same thing. I haven't been sleeved yet. But I was wondering about it for stabilizing at my goal weight more than for stall breaking though....If you find anything out let us know. My biggest concern with it would be that if you've altered your hormones through this surgery, screwing with your hormones again might be tricky, but I guess if you can get pregnant after the sleeve, then why not HCG? But for sure talk to a doc.
  12. Yep, first day of liquids and I was quite gassy all morning. I bough a premixed clear protein drink and I don,t think my tummy likes it at all, so will have to ditch those! Tomorrow I will try the suggested protein powder instead.
  13. So June 12thers. Did you start your clear liquid diets today? How did it go? I start tomorrow and am a bit nervous.
  14. Probably because your body needs to take a break from losing 3 lbs a day...? Could also be hormonal. I was clipping along during this preop dieting, losing1-3 lbs a day and then screeeetch-2 days before my period started came to a dead stop for 5 days. Now I'm back to losing again. Your body is just doing to what it needs to. You're doing great!
  15. I'm hoping for no appetite That would make healthier food choices easier for me I think.
  16. I am June 13th...can I come to the party. I travel to mexico on the 12th, does that count
  17. I really can't imagine that if it took that many years off people's lives or any at all, that docs would be sleeving people in their 70's...that doesn't make any sense
  18. Thanks so much! Well I'm going to TJ for my sleeve so would go there for plastics if necessary too ! thanks again for the info!
  19. What are gummy bear cohesive gels, and why did you search them out?
  20. Way to go! That is Fantastic! WOOO HOOO
  21. Not to keep you full, but to allow your body to absorb as many nutrients as possible. If you drink before and after eating you wash some of the nutrients away and since we're eating so little we can't afford to wash anything away.
  22. I don't mind the Premier Protein from costco. They only come in chocolate but they're ready-made and pretty good over ice and fit all the dietary requirements.
  23. You are not alone at all! My date is June 13th, and I'm required to do a 4 week preop which started Thursday. I spent the beginning of the week eating the things I thought I may miss, but it turned out they really don't do much for me anymore. Then I received my post op guidelines. As I began to read through them, I realized how big a change this would be, so the combination of going through a system cleanse because of the diet and this realization actually put me in mourning for a few days and I was REALLY doubting my choice. I'm sane again (gotten over the caffeine withdrawal) and I realize this is it! It's the best thing I can do for myself, but nothing is going to be the same again. What you feeling is completely normal. You're letting go of the old you, which is terrifying. You can do this and there is nothing wrong with you!
