  1. Just a thought- if you are still having a hard time & you already vap, get some liquid without any nicotine.
  2. Sounds like my doctor's pre-surgery diet. Who's your doctor?
  3. I am right there with you. I had my blood work done 2 weeks ago with my PCP & all my numbers are high. My A1C was 12!!! Yesterday I found out I'm approved for surgery and I have my pre-op appointment on July 11 & I'm worried about my numbers too. I'm really working on my carb loving addiction right now.
  4. YAY!!! I'm waiting to hear from BCBS.

This is my first blog post. My surgeon's office submitted all my stuff to BCBS today. Now the waiting begins. I have done my sleep study and I have had my psych eval done. I have high blood pressure and type 2 diabeties. I had an appointment with my PCP on Tuesday. That didn't go well. I went from 2 Rx to 5, my metformin and blood pressure meds were boosted up in mg, plus I'm being treated for a UTI I didn't even know I had. My numbers all so high it's no wonder I have been tired for so long. I honestly feel like this surgery is going to help save my life. Yes, I know the sleeve is a tool and not a magic solution but after years and years of yo-yo dieting and being a diabetic this is going to be the best thing for me. Anyway, I'm ready to get this thing done! I guess I'll give BCBS a buzz tomorrow.
  6. I have finished the sleep study and the psych evaluation. The office said they sent all the info to BCBS today, so now the waiting begins... How are you doing?
  7. You look so beautiful!!!!!
  8. Good question. I was doing the 'vaping' and the dr office said you had to quit that too. So I got a nicotine patch (2nd step) and I'm not sure if that's allowed. So since yesterday I've been 'smoking' baby carrots & took the patch off because I don't want to mess this up.
  9. What do we need to look out for during the psych eval?
  10. Congrats!!!! I hope you're feeling great today!
