My VSG Journey began last summer when I tipped the scale at 260 after returning from a family vacation at the beach. I began diet and exercise and lost 20 pounds. After hitting a plateau for several months, I started researching WLS...I had VSG on May 6 and am down 23 more pounds. So, a total of 43 pounds gone so far. My goal is still about 50 pounds away but DANG I'm closer than I was!!!

Hi, I'm 2 weeks post-op, I live in Athens but had surgery at crestwood in Huntsville with Dr Foreman. 20# down so far, started at 241, now I'm at 221! Stoked about it so far! Hoping that my journey continues to be a smooth one!!

I'm 2 weeks post-op tomorrow, I've been very bad and not following dr orders completely. I've been slowly trying soft foods, and so far so good. Had eggs for breakfast, 1/2 grilled cheese for lunch and 1/2C of spaghetti for dinner. No trouble with sickness, not pushing to full feeling. I'm sure my doctor would freak out on me, but I'm taking it slow and steady. Anyone else been bad like me?

I'm only one week post-op and am having trouble getting in my Protein, mostly because I don't like the Protein shake I bought from my surgeons office... Wanted to see what you all have found... Are there any DELICIOUS Protein shakes out there???? Help!

Pre-op appt with Surgeon - 241 Day of Surgery - 234 (thank u laxative) 1 week Post-Op - 225 I'll update the farther I get along, I'm only 8 days post-op at the moment.

Congratulations to you! My surgeon was dr foreman. I'm now 4 days out and feeling great!!

I had surgery Monday, 6th, too!! In Huntsville, AL. So far so good, just feeling tired and stomach discomfort.

I'm 25 sleeved on Monday 5/6/13, I live near Huntsville. New to site, looking for good support buddies!!
