Try and find healthy alternatives to the food you are craving. Instead of chicken quesedilla (sp?) try the chicken tortilla Soup. There are always healthier alternatives to everything out there. Look under the nutrition forum on here and there are alot of recipes. They even have cookbooks for wls.

I have to say something on here about the (cheaters). You are only cheating yourselves. First off while you are on liquids it is the time you will lose the most pounds right after the surgery. Please take advantage of this time. Second when you start eating mushies it most likely will be bad carbs that you will be consuming( mashed potatos, cream Soups and so on) abd that is going to stop the ketosis state that you were in and thats when the 3 week stall happens. Im not a dr or nurse or anything. I just put 2 and 2 together and it makes alot of sence.

Did you chew until they were mushy I hope. You need to take a step back and realize why you had this surgery. You are probably alright, but you can not keep this behavior up. Right now your stomache is numb because of the nerves that were cut during the operation. So you probably would not feel the pain if you did any damage. Call your surgeon and let him know what you did. Maybe he can have you come in and get a barium test to make sure. I wish you the best. Just remember food will always be there. You need to treat your stomache like it is a newborns stomache.

If you want this surgery bad enough you will find away to get those pounds off. It will be hard but it is doable. Try a liquid diet, try the 5:2 diet where you fast 2 days a week.

Taking offence and feeling hurt are two different responses. I can feel hurt by what someone says without being offended. This perhaps comes with emotional maturity, with understanding that someone's intent was different to the consequence.
For example, I was hurt because it sucks to be obese, and I was on some level in denial about that, and having an innocent child point it out brings me out of my own denial and forced me to face an ugly truth about myself. And it was an ugly truth.
Fat is only attractive in societies and cultures where food is scarce. Fat in these historical cultural contexts has represented wealth and has therefore been seen positively. For a man in these cultures to have a fat wife it indicated that he was a good provider, therefore an attractive mate. What you see as people being brainwashed in societal views is in fact merely a representation of the biological imperative and in western culture, fat represents poor health and poor health is undesirable in a mate.

When children call an adult fat it is wrong. That is very disrespectful. What do you think children are calling other children who are overweight? It all comes down to teaching your children to treat everyone the same even if they are fat,skinny,black, white, brown, handicaped and so forth. That is whats wrong with society, no one wants to teach their children to not be judgemental. Its a sad world we live in.

My question is, what are these parents and society teaching these children? I have always taught my skinny children that people come in all shapes and sizes and they do not judge anyone. Its up to us parents not to be judgemental in front of them no matter what because children are honest and they also always repeat what they hear and are being taught. So sad :’(

Thanks for the kind words. My hubby's hair is all gray now (super sexy on him!), and he jokes that people will think he's my Sugar Daddy when we go out. We've been together since we were both 19, so he's glad to have his old girlfriend back .

You need to sip sip sip and then sip some more. Gatorade is good to drink if you feel dehydrated or maybe baby pedilite. Please dont worry about the Protein, it will get there eventualy. Right now its about the Fluid you need. Always have a drink in your hand and sip sip sip and then sip some more.
