  1. Oh my goodness. It's like heaven on a plate. Its a deep fried homemade eggroll mized with onion and baby back rib meat, pulled pork, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce.. So so so good.
  2. I went to the keys a month post op but I didn't drink. If you still are uneasy about it, check with your doctor. I'm sure you'll be fine though. I say- GO FOR IT! Have fun
  3. I went out to dinner with my boyfriend today (this is not the frustrating part, lol). He ordered half a dozen garlic rolls smothered in butter, rib rolls, full rack of ribs, and a brownie sundae. Oh, and 4 refills of his coke. I had half of a mahi sandwich without the bread and maybe a tablespoon of black Beans. Since I was done much earlier than him, I sat there and essentially watched him eat. At one point, just as a morsel of BBQ sauce started dripping down the side of his mouth, I felt a really strong urge to smack the ribs out of his hand and yell SSSTOOOOPPPPP EATINGGGGGG!!!! I mean, seriously. He INHALES his food. I could swear that sometimes he doesn't even chew it. It's really unattractive to see him eat so much. Does anyone else feel this way? Am I a horrible girlfriend? Lol Oh, and as I write this, he just went to the kitchen for a "tiny snack". Smh I know he doesn't order so much delicious food on purpose. He's a big guy (6'3" and maybe 220lbs) so I understand he won't be satisfied with a Caesar salad. But c'mon. Let me say one more thing: I have no desire to eat any of the stuff that he ordered. I was perfectly happy with my sandwich. but ordering and eating all that food?? Does anybody else get frustrated/annoyed/disgusted when watching people eat unhealthy food? Is it just me?
  4. I'm between 800-900 calories daily. Two months out. What does your typical daily diet consist of?
  5. I don't know about all of you, but I just wanna look good naked!
  6. Thanks guys! I assumed it would be too much food. I'm okay with throwing half of it away since I won't be eating them very often. I was hoping there would be options without noodles and rice so that sounds good. I didn't know they had an Atkins brand. Ill definitely look into it! Thank you!!
  7. Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried a healthy option frozen lunch such as Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice? I'm hoping to find some options that I can grab out of the freezer and take with me to work just in case I don't have enough time to prepare something the night before. Any ideas? If you have tried them, do they taste good? Are they good alternatives? Which are your favorites?
  8. I got sleeved 4/1. Been out a few times with friends and none of them know I had the surgery. I just say I'm seeing a nutritionist and he put me on a diet which requires small portions. I also say that I had a small bite to eat before going out and I'm not very hungry. Sometimes I order a soup and ask for it to come with everyone's entree. Haven't been questioned much after those excuses.
  9. What about bullies now?
  10. It's really unfortunate that you need to resort to name calling in order to speak your mind. There are several intellectual ways to voice your opinion (all of which do not include name calling). I also see you're listed as an "Advanced Member." I hope people on this website do not consider you a role model.
  11. Keep em coming, Lorry. This is really entertaining.
  12. Didnt mean to post that do many times, lol
  13. Take it easy angry lady. Jeez. Who's the bully now??
  14. Take it easy, angry lady. Jeez
  15. Take it easy angry lady. Jeez.
  16. You're back! How did it go? How are you feeling?
  17. And you forgot to mention how she stupidly mentioned her surgeons name and hospital lol
  18. Hi all, I need some motivation/suggestions. I was sleeved 4/1 and I've been pretty successful, in my opinion. I've lost a total of about 50 pounds. The problem I've been encountering is this: it's really painful for me to exercise. I have a pinched nerve in my hip. Anyone who has one, knows what kind of pain this is. it seriously feels like a knife is tearing through your hip every time you take a step. It's caused by all of this excess weight I'm currently carrying. Everyone I have seen have said that once the weight comes off, it should heal on its own. Walking for more than 15 minutes starts to irritate it and I'm left limping back home because I can't tolerate the pain. I tried pushing through the pain once and I walked for an hour. Needless to say, I was miserable for a week afterwards. Every step was excruciating. There are meds I can take (Celebrex) that helps with the inflammation however I'm weary of taking meds since my stomach is so small now and there's less acid to break down the capsule. My doctor said to take it in case of emergency. My question is: what kind of exercise can you suggest? I know this is a tough question to answer but I need help. If I'm home, I usually have some weights to work out my arms and occasionally, I swim since the Water keeps the pressure off of my hips. I can't swim everyday though. What do you think? Does anyone else have a similar problem? I want to speed up this weight loss as much as possible and I'm really REALLY concerned about excess skin. Thanks in advance
  19. I'm with you guys. 7 weeks out and stalled for the last week and a half! It's very frustrating.
