Today is day 5 of 13 of my pre op diet...I have never reached the "not hungry" state and each evening the hunger is intense. But I'm doing it (never thought I'd be successful!). And I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.... Down 4 pounds so far. I hope that number rises to at least 10 by June 25th!

I know right?!? There is a whole bunch us June 25th Sleevers☺ I'm down 3lbs since Friday!!! I have a long way to go, but hey it's little things that count!

I had my surgery six days ago. I continue to do well. I continue to get in all of my Protein and liquids. I have no hunger. I stopped all of my pain meds. I don't need them. This maybe be too much info....but I have moved my bowels three times. I have no issues with gas or diarrhea. Even my allergic reaction is clearing up. All in all life is good.

I ended up going to urgent care and got an antibiotic. Not sure that it's infected but as a precaution. Then spoke with the nurse at my sleeve doctor to make sure it was ok to take. Doc told her to tell me yes, take it. Already feeling better and mentally at ease now that I have doctors approval . Thanks, y'all

Thinking rational people realize that this only happens if you eat Pop-Rocks prior to drinking the soda.. just ask Mikey.

Today is Day 2 of my liquid diet. Surgery is June 25th. Day 1 was not so bad...way better than I thought. But I woke up this morning hungry...I hope today goes well! Had my preop class and testing two days ago. I am no longer nervous..,just very excited!! Lets do this!!

Just had my last full sized meal. Clear Liquids the next 2 days then surgery Tuesday.

Omg I just got stomach jitters reading this!!! Mine is June 25th too and to hear "three weeks away" made it so real all of a sudden! Eeekkk!!

Me too! It's about 3 weeks away! Will be here before we know it.

Today's my birthday & I'm more excited knowing it will be my LAST one my & this big booty will be sharing together!! June sleevers holler if you hear me!! Lol

I am officially apart of the june club I just got approved and my date is june 17th they tried to yhrow salt n my game but its on and poppin:) liquid diet starts june 7th excited buy nervous as heck!!!

Don't be scared. Day one was easy. Day two the worst due to gas. Day three much better. Day four back at my desk job w a lil soreness but no pain. Ten days post and nineteen lbs down!

Im tentatively scheduled for June 17th if all goes well )) Im so excited i hope all goes well!!!

I just got my insurance approval. Surgery date will be June 26!

I am doing excellent!!! My sleeve date was May 13th and I am pain free ,Thank God!! ..I must say the 1st couple days was a struggle with holding down liquids but once I figured out a regiment and relaxed,I was on a Roll ..so happy with my decision and looking forward to a Healthier Me!! It's been exactly 7 weeks since surgery (sleeved 4/1) and I have lost... (Drum roll please).... 50 POUNDS!!!!!
I couldn't be happier! I'm also very fortunate to say that my recovery has been fairly easy. Aside from the initial gas pain, I was back to my usual self one week post op. I can't remember the last time I lost a substantial amount of weight - let alone 50 freaking pounds!!!
To those of you reading this who are pre-op or "slow losers" just please know that it will happen and you just have to push through it. Keep a positive attitude!
This is the best decision I have ever made. Can't wait for the next 50!! :)

I've been reflecting a lot this week. Thinking about how my life was before I was sleeved. Wondering what my life would have been like if I had not taken the first step to wellness. Prior to getting sleeved I was becoming immobile. It hurt to walk, sleep, etc; things that many of us take for granted was becoming difficult for me. I was taking a back seat to life and it was hurting me emotionally, mentally and physically.
I started my journey at 448lbs. I am currently 324lbs. My goal is 250lbs. Although, I read where many are starting their journey at my goal weight I realize everyone has their own story, their own goals and their own successes. It feels really weird because I do forget that I have lost weight.
Here are a few (not in any particular order) of things that I have experienced during my journey.

The pain is temporary
Gas pains hurt
Nausea is the worst
I burp all the time
The Slimies are Real
I've learned how to vomit in silence
The vomiting goes away
Eating a Cup of food is hard
I hate Clear Liquids
Post-Op makes you a stronger person
This is Not Easy
Tastebuds can change
Food is Not Important
Loose Skin
I'm Shrinking
The scale can make you crazy
Who Knew you can puree almost anything
I don't miss Bread
Toast is My Friend
I can eat anything I want after a year
My clothes are too BIG
I'm Beautiful :wub:

Made it out of the hospital and doing well! Pain is minimal and I am recovering well! Loving it!
